The problem with Lyte and Toxicity
I really think more of you should be speaking out against the automation that is happening. I know some will try to dissuade real conversation, but if you won't accept it in your real life why would you accept it here? If they can't take their $600+ million and invest in a real system with real people and real responses, then why are you investing?
Everyone can be toxic, and LoL is inherently a toxic environment.
Therein lies the problem with this game's community, we're all toxic, because we can all get mad when we're being trolled or know that we're stuck for 30-40 minutes.
The game needs an immediate kick method in game, replace it with an Intermediate bot and let people play it out. Your 30-40 minutes in game if you're with an AFK'er, a straight up troll, or some racist bigot only serve to test the level of patience you can accomplish. The kicks can even happen with a double vote, once to show the player they have been voted for a kick, and if they do not improve the vote can be done again in 2 minutes.
Lyte believes the system should flag people for saying "gg easy" as very negative. However nothing is done for the real problems mentioned here. Personally I think Lyte and his ideas should have been flagged long ago. Why? Well because outwardly he would have you believe that he is flagging extreme toxicity for bans (racial slurs, homophobia, death threats, etc..) but really you can be banned for anything because Lyte is right and you are wrong.
I have had a forum post asking Lyte for logs on an account go 3+ months without a response before finally giving up. The support ticket was answered many times but never with the actual requested chat logs. This is quite simply because I never made any infraction on their rules, they simply bend them.
I suggest you guys go watch Lyte's lectures and amuse yourselves at just how little sense he makes. He abuses his position of authority here by stating myth as fact. He is never willing to break down his statistics. Players go around parroting this "less than 1% toxicity" that isn't even relevant, even if true.
1% of what? Are free accounts that played 1 game included? Should bot matches not be eliminated from the statistic? Does most of that 1% fall into bronze/silver ranked due to the heavier implications there? I know some may say that normals have just as much, but I am less inclined to care/report normals for many reasons.
