Not allowed to play LOL? HELP!

Ok, so I'm new to this forum and apologise if I am posting in this is in the wrong place or doing something else wrong. But here's my problem: I am in high school and consistently achieve top grades and am at the top of ALL my classes (not intending to boast). I always complete all of my homework and am on a scholarship but am barely ever allowed to play LOL (rarely on weekends - only on holidays). My parents are convinced that "video games will be my downfall" and that I will fail school if I play. (My parents even tried disconnecting the internet and hiding my computer.) I love LOL and it is my favourite game, but I can't play it often and I would really like to. Do you have any advice on convincing my parents to let me play LOL? Any help would be appreciated.

They're probably right.

But anyway, suggest a compromise; maintain your grades, and you get X amount of video game time. Your grades drop and that turns into study time. It's difficult to argue with the logic of a good compromise.

You actually want to convince them? I've seen a lot of posts like yours on here, but you are the first who's first idea isn't to sneak play the game.

The absolute, top teir thing you can do is to write a 20 page research paper on the effects of video games on youth and it's impact on education. Not only will the paper actually contain the evidence you would need, but the fact that you wrote them a paper to present your argument should carry weight on it's own.

That said the worst case scenario would be you getting it back with a grade on it, and no changes made to your internet schedule.

you need to rebel, your parents need to stop controlling your life bro. i really feel sorry for you man, go out there and party, get a girl, do something that gives you a rush, go live life without your parents giving you shit.
