Akali is legit weak right now, and there is not a reason to pick her in any situation over other champions.

She needs to stay weak however, due to her kit.

And? So you just dump her? Hell no, you find a way to make her viable, that is what a true main does. Mordekaiser unviable now? Nah, just change my build path (or in my case don't), Teemo sucks, fine, I pick him into counters and remove the opponent top from the game. Volibear isn't a top, the fuck he ain't. A true main doesn't care about nerfs, if they enjoy their character, they will simply work around them.

Teemo and Mordekaiser are both viable champions bud, those were shitty examples

And no, "True Mains" will stop playing their champion if they're is literally zero reason to pick them over other champions.

The amount of champions in that category is low, but they exist (Evelynn, Akali, Miss Fortune, Darius until his buffs hit)

Edit: Volibear top was more popular than jungle until recently.

Viable as niche counterpicks, but they have massive flaws that heavily outweigh their pros at time. Teemo is either a short range tanky bruiser who does less damage then a most tanky bruisers at the cost of having better survability from ganks, but in turn, he is subpar to every other champion with range who builds the same, so champions like Kayle, Nidalee, and Gnar all out DPS and our tanky then he is.

Also, you used the term "Fotm" wrong, as Akali is not anywhere near Fotm, and buying a champion for her skin does not make it a fotm purchase.

Based on that, and your flat out statistical lies, and lack of knowledge (Last time teemo was played in the pro scene, he was built mostly AP, and once full AD. This bruiser shit is an awful build that zero people use.), I can only assume you are new.

I was saying he dumped Akali because she wasn't as strong as she used to be, in turn, he dumped her because she wasn't as fun as other champions, that is fair.

It isn't an insult, it is the truth. Teemo isn't a champion as of right now you can freely pick. He is niche because he is very VERY good at doing his thing and that id denying melee AD based champions, but not much else.

No I've actually owned akali since her release. lol I just found her less fun to play than jax/irelia/swain top so I didn't play her much. Leblanc/katarina was more fun mid.

She's a mechanically boring champion and her E has always been a worthless ability I wish they'd rework it already.

Akali mains from last season are happy with the change (besides the R, but even we agree that the range on that was a bit ridic (outranging basically every spell/adc aa in the game). Not only did it remove the 90%ish banrate but it also sepereated noobs trying to gain free elo with her and the mains/skilled akali players. No longer do I see trash players carrying games, but at the same time I find her still a very strong hypercarry who wins me almost every game. Too bad I dont play her much this season (even before her nerf).

I was actually doing just fine with Akali post-nerf. Only reason I'm hesitant to play her now is because there are a minimum of 3 tanks per team now, so not as many squishies(dunno how Akali fares against tanks, don't wanna know either)

I can feel the hate getting downvoted by FoTM. Despite what many think, Akali has a very HIGH skill cap ceiling, so if you don't even play her (FoTM players you dont count, sorry) dont QQ on her. Guarentee you I have more played games with Akali than any of you and would rek you in lane (unless you play morde, then i'll farm til 6 then go rek your botlane and come back and rek you after im fed).

3 tanks? the point of akali is getting fed before champions have a chance to build tanky and kill carries. If your playing akali and are trying to initiate/kill tanks, your playing her wrong.
