My first run-in with Leaver Buster + thoughts/questions.

I got my first leave since I don't know when today. I could not connect to the game after countless tries. I was duo queued with a friend of mine who lives right down the road from me so of course he calls me and I had to give him the bad news, we were going to lose this game. I still tried to connect until he told me the game was ending. I decided to try just reinstalling at this point, which worked since I've had no problem connecting to games since.

When finally logging back in I was greeted with a message box alerting me of my "wrong doing". I don't recall the exact wording but it basically consisted of the negative consequence my leaving the game had on the rest of my team. I then had to type "I agree" into the box to continue into the client which served as me agreeing to not leave games anymore.

I'm sorry but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I've read Lyte's arguments about how no matter how you leaving the game came about, you still left and negatively impacted your team. But something tells me what happened to me is not an isolated incident. To put it mildly, your client is pretty well known to be unreliable at times cough Adobe Air cough.

So how do others feel about this? Am I completely off base in feeling that it comes off a bit over the top and pretentious?
