Azir, the late game monster?

Hi,

Sometimes I feel Azir is underrated. So I just thought I'd share the stats of one of my games with him recently.

I'm only Silver V, so quite trash elo, but I'd like to have your thoughts/impressions about this.

The game I'm talking about, I got a pentakill and what's most striking is what happened around 31 minutes: the gold advantage completely shifted from the enemy team to our team. The slope in the figure is so abrupt, I had never seen such a thing so far :)

best, coldfire59

Azir is definitely an underrated champion that has an insane late game power. The reason why people don't play him as much before the nerfs is that it takes time to get there. His early game damage is horrendous and it is all about farming as well as poking, so he has no kill potential without ignite (people tend to take a safe summoner spell like teleport or heal). However, he still has those two things that makes him shine at all phases of the game, objective control and range. Once you get to late game and you have like 4-6 items, Azir feels just like a true emperor of Shurima.

Sincerly, Azir main :3

I honestly haven't really experimented with Luden's Echo that much on Azir, so I can't say much about it. I believe that Luden's Echo is excellent for that extra burst and pushing waves of minions, but I just prefer Void Staff because it feels very nice on Azir. If I remember correctly, the soldiers' auto attack may proc off Luden's passive (when it is 100 stacks), but it will not go up 20 stacks at a time for each auto attack. I think if you had Void Staff in your build at that game, you will be able to deal more damage to opponents because they had a significant amount of Magic Resistance.
