Ip Boost?

So ive been attempting to get the bonus IP boosts, yet i was very dissapointed. I had a game with 4 lobby members and finished the game. i saw i only gained 74 ip, but it was aram, so it was okay, but then i see "Party IP Boost" or something- 8 not x8 8 8 8 8 8 8 88 88 8 8

Yeah I got x16 IP and instead it gave me 24 IP

i think that it gives you the bonus IP but doesnt show up in your match history cause mine has been doing the same but i have been getting IP pretty quick the last few days
