Placements are broken???

I had just finish my placement matches and won 8/10 of the ranked games. After thinking that I'd get at least silver 3, I was shocked to see that I had been placed in bronze 2. Why was i placed in such a low league with so many wins? Was it because i was bronze 3 last year? I honestly think this is extremely unfair. Thoughts?

What were the ranks of the players you won against? What were the ranks of the players you lost against?

Until you know those two facts, saying "I won X games out of 10" is meaningless.

Haha did you not read the RIOT post about how there will be a soft-reset? It means the placement games are worth less than previous years. And even in previous years winning 8/10 would only get you like Bronze 1 or Silver 5 because of your previously low MMR (Bronze 3). Now the placement games work based off what the enemy's ranks were and not how many you have won. Ex. You win against a diamond you get 50~mmr BUT if you win against a fellow bronzie you get like 3 MMR.

Try playing some games, see how much LP you earn per win. (although if you lose your gonna go down REALLY fast.)

You can only move up about one tier in placements this season...

Nope you are not the only one. I had the issue in S5. I was Silver 5 in S4 and won 7/10 in s5 placements and got placed into Bronze 4. Now I win 7/10 again and got "promoted" to bronze 5....I was not even that low before the placements.
