Account suspended... for what?? Says to 'check email'. Check email and there is nothing from Riot

I intentionally went out of my way to avoid chat pretty much all together on an account. I log in and suddenly I'm banned for 2 weeks. It says 'check your email' for details. I check my email. Nothing from Riot. WTF?!?
