Hi Community, Ι learned that RiotLyte looking for feedback, so this post is for him and i wish he will read it. Theme : PERAMBAN Can help or converts the situation worse?

My persenal oppinion is that a permaban is ussles becouse the player who accepted permaban can make a new acc and he is able to flame again and again. And this time more, becouse he will be angry becouse he lose his account. With this new account he dont care, he will troll and he will flame more becouse he have nothing more to lose. As Riot lyte said : after punishment from the tribunal 50%+ of those players change behaviour and never returned. Look ocelote, he said " i just flame ,who cares" The first goal is to make players to undesrtund their mistake. and the 2nt is to try to "drive" them to change behaVIOUR. Ocelote udesrtund his mistake, and he change behaviour.

Ocelote and Incarnati0n.They are the "live" proofs that a toxic player can change. They udesrtund their mistake and now they play the game with good behaviour. the game will be better if all toxic players reform.

Here is my question : if only from 1 time in tribunal 50% of players change behaviour from this shock, how many will change after permaban? with this system... 1% or lower (in my oppinion)... but if we give them the opportunity to unban their account? ( their money, time, friends, champions ...ect)

i think all of them, or 90% of them. player after permaban will wake up and he will do everything he can to unban his account. is a very big shock. but... the true is... that Riot Lyte give them this opportunity. to unban their account. http://prntscr.com/6mqi0s but as you can read in this photo, he give the order to stop becouse 95% of those players permabanned again. Were is the mistake here?

You give them the opportunity to unban their accounts, but you dont check if they really change behaviour. 5% of them change btw... and even today play this game with unban and with good behaviour. and now i ask : You permaban somone, he make a support case and he ask unban, Your answer is " Your account is permabanned and this punishment will never lift, But you are free to make a new account "

Why you give this "child" answer? sorry to said this but is rl TRAGIC. is like you said " we permaban you becouse we want to say that we work hard, we dont give you opportunity to udesrtund your mistake, but you can play again our game with a new acc, and feel free to flame and troll again :) " at least i understand this answer with that significance. fetched maybe... but you send him to flame and troll for " revage" with this action. Isnt better an answer like this? :

Summnoner, Because of the high toxicity in your account We decided to close your account, we took this decision because we realized that you dont want or you dont try to change your behaviour. Υou can show us that you understood your mistake with a new account, move it on lvl 30 and play games. if your behaviour seems to have changed After of many games with the new account, we will check your chat logs and if you are "clean" we will unban your account. They will be placed chat restrictions in your old ( permabanned account) for 1 -2 years for 2 reason, 1: for your punishment 2: becouse we want to be sure that you will not flame again.

this a a good opportunity i think... as you said in riot : We dont belive in punishment but in the change of behaviour, and as Riot lyte said in twitter : Dont hate the players, just udesrtund them and change. Some players give proofs for their change in behaviour and they have answer from support : we are happy for your change but we dont unban you due to past actions. Tragic... send and those who change to leave the game or to troll with the others, nice point.

In your first screenshot of wookiecookie I think you overlook a very important part: "To be honest, banning isn't really the most effective way to deal with toxic players all the time". Meaning that sometimes it is the most effective way.

Undoubtedly some banned people will come back on a new account and continue as they were but how is that any worse than what they were doing before they got permabanned? Are the 5% of the players that might have reformed from a final warning worth having to deal with the other 95%? imo, no. At some point theres no reason to believe that someone will reform and they simply need to be removed.

The biggest issue with people creating new accounts is that the punishment systems have been historically slow. So even if you were worse than before it would still take ages to get your first punishment on your new account. However, punishments are getting faster with some of the more obvious cases being handled instantly. And that is only going to improve.
