A (not very) Brief Open Letter for Anyone at Riot

Hi there!

So I'm hoping this doesn't get buried in the wave of everything right now, but I figured I would try to submit it here on the boards.

Obviously there has been a lot of animosity and frustration around the sandbox mode as well as people on Reddit just complaining about everything. I think it's easy for people to pick up a "hive mind" attitude and immediately think that they know what is right for both them and for everyone else. That said, balancing the desires of a million people is next to impossible, and giving a child what it wants only serves to promote short term happiness.

It seems so apparent that everyone jumps to their guns and complains. Sure, each individual may have an idea or concept or thing that they want and they speak up to make their voice heard. Awesome! Each word comes through, each statement that is made does not fall on deaf ears and is in fact listened to. However, that doesn't mean that every request or outcry is one that is answerable. It also doesn't mean that every request is the most appropriate for both the requester and the requested. And so, even when a child is to ask for something they seek, it may not be best for them to have.

So as you move forward in making decisions and in the effort to be more transparent (Rito Pls is awesome, btw), I wanted to say one thing: thank you.

Thank you for all of the work put in by everyone in the company. Thank you for an amazing Bilgewater event that did so much storywise with one of the two characters that got me into LoL (GP :D)! Thank you for some music that blew me off my feet with the event and the recent champ releases (I wanted to score video games when I was little so this was absolutely AMAZING to hear the recent event music)! Thank you for the sick art designs and the character designs that bring out the immensely broad differences of each champ! Thanks for the great job of balancing and doing the best you can to keep all the champions currently playable (and counterplayable)! Thanks for hosting and keeping this game going so that I can play it with my friends, who without this game would probably never come together like they do today! Oh, and thanks for an awesome support crew who has helped me several times!

Thank you for everything. Thank you all for all that you do and thank you for giving me and everyone else something to cherish, share, and enjoy. I don't know who you are personally, but I sure feel like I do by being able to experience all that you have offered with each experience in League of Legends.

TL; DR: Regardless of all the craziness, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being such a kickass group of people that creates such an amazing product and provide equally as awesome services.
