Bard New Champion?

I'm not quite sure, but Riot recently put up a post/webpage talking about a race of story tellers who lived up above the clouds, and how there was a constellation they looked up to known as bard. Is this a new champion or something of the sort? Also, I noticed that the last point they had in the short story had a symbol- if you look around the season 5 summoners rift map, you can see about six small symbols scattered around it. This really intrigues me and makes me think either its a really special champion, or something maybe bigger. Any ideas on this? It does seem to have a big impact on the lore.

It is the teaser to the new champ.

The thing is everyone jumps to the conclusion that the new champ is a Bard, storyteller or singer type, or is named Bard. When all we know is that the race of people telling the story call them selves, as a group, Bard.

No, we know the champion is named bard. The files are called Promo_bard_teaser

It's could easily be his title _____ the Bard.

Also file names can easily be changed. Until a Riot employee says his name is Bard or he is officially announced all we can do is speculate about him.

I just really hope this new champion is not that Virgil concept everyone has been saying it is cause that sounds like a very dull anti fun champion to play
