I have been playing a lot of Renekton lately and wanted to change my name to Renekton Bot, However this name is taken. The name this account is taken by is a unused account. The person hasn't played in a long time and might never play again and this name is now lost. Could we get something that if a account is inactive for a year the next person to try and get there name they will be able to! If i stopped playing i wouldn't care if anyone took my name.
There is something in place for this. For accounts levels 1-6, if they haven't played a game within the past 6 months, then their name is available to be taken by anyone. For accounts higher than level 6, add 1 month to that time frame for each level past six, up to a maximum of 2 years 6 months for level 30 accounts.
Also, I think that you can only take someone else's name through purchasing a name change, not by creating a brand new account. I'm not 100% certain about this part though.
This already exists. I forget the exact time frames because I think it takes longer to become available the longer the account has existed.
