Less Loss of LP When there is AFK from the beginning of the game

So recently I have been playing more ranked games. I had 6 games in a row were there was an AFK from the beginning of the game. I think it is ridiculous in the amount of LP that is lost when its out of your control. I can understand if someone leaves mid game, gets d/c at some point, or if someone rejoins the game latter on and you loose that the same amount of LP should be lost. However, if someone is AFK right from the start and never enters the game I think there should be a minor loss in LP. Anyone Else agree that this should be taken into consideration?

If LP loss was reduced then LP gain would also have to be reduced as well otherwise you would notice a slow average rank increase of the player base due to imbalance in the LP distribution. For the system to be balanced people must win and lose the same amount of LP.

An argument could be made for dumping this LP loss on the afk player but if they never connected to the game then it is more likely to be an internet issue not a skill issue and hence LP as a punishment doesn't accurately address this.

Alternatively the LP gain could be less from the players on the opposing team but that hardly seems fair when they did everything correctly.

Seems unfair that people get penalized so hard. Should be a permanent ban immediately from Rank if you afk a game on purpose. You shouldn't get warning, or anything else. You should be banned immediately from playing rank. Allow the account to continue to be able to play non-rank, but restrict them from playing Rank indefinitely for that season.

That's for those who que to afk, not those who lose connection and can't rejoin. Don't have time to do rank? Don't que up. A lot of ya probably don't like strict lay down of rules but Rank is make or break. Other people shouldn't have to suffer because of trolls. Would erase the players who leave because they didn't get their way by 100 percent. Can't argue with those stats.
