This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. Yes you should be. If for nothing else, because you say things like this: "dat bait doe". You also tell people to report others, which I'm pretty sure is not acceptable, and use "bronze" as a derogatory. Even without context, it's clear you spend most of your games arguing with people. Just play, man. Talk strategy, play the game, and win. Don't insult people or their abilities, it does not accomplish anything but make people mad and make them report you.

You deserved it. Correct your toxic attitude over the suspension, or you'll get suspended again.

Tribunal is down right now -- Riot staff (and/or their automated chat analysis systems) banned you.

What I can say is that you don't get a 14-day ban for a single game. Their new system seems to send you the "straw that broke the camel's back", but it doesn't comb through all of the games that contribued to the ban.

  1. Calling people "noob", "moron" "dumbass" is quite negative.

  2. Comments along the lines of "I'm not going to group up", "I don't care if you die", "I'm done" -- anything that implies you're not going to work with the team or play your best -- are extremely negative. If you disagree with a tactical decision, say something that's like "I don't think that's a good idea right now", not something that sounds like "screw you, I'm not helping you noobs".

  3. It sounds like you went into /all chat and asked the other team to report your heimer for very sketchy reasons ("whatever", "useless"). This is extremely negative. If you feel someone is assisting the enemy team, all you need to do is report them yourself. If they're obviously feeding, everybody knows it already. Riot doesn't even count additional reports in the same match -- having the enemy team report in addition to you does nothing, and "report begging" like this simply guarantees you a counter-report from the person you're targeting, as well as looking extremely negative and petty in the chat logs.

Ok so I'm just realising now rereading this how the chat looks - and it's making me aware of a potential issue with the tribunal system..

I'm curious.. when you (or anyone) gets reported for verbal at the end of a game - does the tribunal ONLY see YOUR chat? or do they see the full chat record??? Because a lot of this LOOKS toxic when it's not.

For example, let's say you and another player are joking and laughing / teasing each other in the chat:

you: dive him dive him you: gogogo!!

<this guy dives, gets killed>

you: omg ur fuckin dumb him: lmao YOU TOLD ME TO DIVE!! you: you don't listen to ME! him: I hate you -_- you: it's like this is ur first time or something him: lmfao you: you gotta be bronze.. listen to teammates.. NOOB him: HAHAHAHAHAHAH

Now if the tribunal only sees YOUR chat it looks like this:

dive him dive him gogogo!! omg ur fuckin dumb you don't listen to ME! it's like this is ur first time or something you gotta be bronze.. listen to teammates.. NOOB

notice how toxic it looks when it's JUST your half of the chat...

if the tribunal system only shows the people judging you YOUR chat when you get reported.. that's gonna get all kinds of people banned / suspended who dont even remotely deserve it.. the tribunal should also be able to see your honours for the respective game you got reported for..

Getting back to the ABOVE chat - very little of what you see was me talking to heimer (the only one on the team mad at me and the only one I was upset with) - most of it was joking / discussing with my team or with the opposite team.

For the record, I received +2 teamwork +1 friendly +1 honourable opponent for this game - and the rest of my team and some of the opposing team also reported the heimerdinger. Now tell me how that game got me banned?!

If anyone's interested I can break down the entire chat and show you who I'm talking to and give context as well as highlight the parts where I was talking to heimer so you can understand what you're looking at better..

I'm pretty sure that the tribunal isn't up right now, so it was Rito themselves that banned you, and even if there was tribunal it takes hundreds of votes to ban someone so it probably wasn't that. If Rito decides what you did was bad then what you did was bad, not much you can do about it. Just wait out your ban, and if you want to play just make a smurf, simple solution :)

Even if the Hemier WAS toxic, that gave YOU no right to retaliate. Your suspension notice very clearly states this,

"When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. "

So at the end of the I'd say you both deserved the ban (if he DID behaving with toxicity). Plus the mute button is there for a reason. Be greatful its a 14-day ban and not perma. This might make you think twice.
