Was LOL down for Maintenance or DDOS?

League went down early Tuesday morning. From experience this isn't hard to believe because they go down every morning on around Tuesday for maintenance. However someone is claiming that they ddos'd(aka "hacking") lol. Riot hasn't really said they had been attacked. Which makes me think that either it wasn't that big of a deal and brushed off or league was doing what they always do on Tuesday morning.

Riot has been attacked pretty much nonstop for the last five years.. Another one on the pile doesn't hurt so much, probably extended maintenance a bit to configure their countermeasures and that's all folks.
