Recording and streaming on windows?

-Hello, was wondering if there was anyone who uses OBS or any similar game recording sofware along with windows movie maker for editing? I have some questions about resolution, video quality, tranfering, ect. If anyone fits these requirements and thinks they can help me, i hope to hear back from you soon. Also if there is a better program for video editing and movie making that works on windows pc's I am all ears. Thanks Guys! -
