Victorious Skins for next season should not be for gold

Personally I believe that if you are going to be rewarded for getting to a tier that no longer has decay should at the very least be exempt from getting rewards like the victorious skin because it's suppose to be difficult to get there so you can get such a reward although now i see everyone in gold and just sit there without having to worry about decay so they are sure to get the skin reward for sure. I probably sound like an ass for saying this but it's just something i've been thinking about recently.

You've been thinking about it recently because you hiut plat or diamond and your 'special reward' feels less special with all the normal people getting it. Be realistic here, your real reasons are to try to make yourself feel more special.

I'm glad it's set at gold, even though I hit plat 2 - I think gold is a good accomplishment and people should be rewarded for making it there.

I hit plat last season ._. and ive been diamond this season honestly why would i need to make myself feel better? I think hitting plat should be the minimum for recieving the skin, the fact that you believe that i need to feel special by posting this shows me that i've hit a nerve of yours hence why i said i may sound like an ass even though i'm trying my best not to but if you feel the need to try to denounce me other than that you are upset that you werent able to hit diamond but that's beside the point. So why is gold a good accomplishment to you if you dont even need to worry about decay? And i could care less if everyone else is making it there im just saying that the skin bar should be higher, also on the note that next season if someone is silver they can always have a player that is a higher tier just boost the silver account to gold and then they would have the skin ready and set for them next season without ever having to worry about decay or maintaining their ranked tier to recieve the skin reward although if the bar was raised to plat then any silver that was boosted or gold would have difficulties maintaining it because they can decay and also have to try to stay in it where as gold they can just never play ranked again and get the skin.

not everyone is gold. Gold = top 28%, plat = top 7%, diamond = top 2%, challenger = top 0.01%. Most ppl are in silver and bronze.

I suppose so but even so it doesn't make much sense to reward someone that doesn't have to worry about decay I'm saying is that there is no longer a decay nor a clamp to get into gold or a decay in gold so at the very least put the skin reward bar up to a rank where you run the risk of decay at the very least. It just seems to me that they've just lowered the bar.

Well gold isn't as competitive as Plat/Diamond. So having decay is just a source of stress. However. since you made it to gold, you got a decent skill level otherwise you wont make it there in the first place. (excluding elo boosted accounts).

Using myself as an example, I was Silver V, didn't play for a month, that doesn't mean I become bronze level. I came back and carried every game all the way to Gold. And TOp 28% or less out of millions of players, is an good accomplishment so we def deserve rewards.

hmm i suppose but as to before there was a clamp and a decay i understand that the decay would just be a source of stress although i think that if anything they should at the very least just raise the bar a wee bit higher than to at least gold 3 I believe due to the changes with that next season considering if the populace of league in na get better the gold pop will probably be at least 40 percent. But you do make a good point.

Why would you care how high the skin bar is if not for your own self-entitlement? Why does it matter if more people get the skin? In fact, I want as many people to share in the skin as possible because I think it's a cool reward. Obviously there has to be a bar set somewhere in order for it to be justified as a 'victorious' skin, and I think gold is a pretty good place for that to be set.

And no, I didn't even expect to hit plat so I am absolutely THRILLED to be plat 2.

There's no responding to your arguments, because your arguments essentially come down to you having the opinion that 'I want less people to have the shiny I have so that it'll make my reward feel better'. You can't argue an opinion. You have it, I don't. That's essentially that.

If someone gets boosted, I want them to get banned, not just decay out of their ELO and not get rewards.

Gold is a good accomplishment because it means you're one of the top roughly 1/3 of all players. That's huge. Limiting it to the top ~10% seems ridiculous, why even bother designing the skin if so few people are even going to have access to it? Seems kinda pointless, if it's going to be that exclusive I'd rather they just design a new skin for the store.

Really? so i come off as that huh i thought i was coming off as that it should be more challenging to get a reward although as i can see you are still with the ad hominems i guess you aren't familiar with that term so when you can try and respond without verbally attacking me that'd be nice rather than appear to be a douche as well although its fine i forgive you and because gold is equivalent to silver there is literally nothing different. and its pretty hard to prove that someones been boosted other than the obvious ones that can be spotted but i guess i can drop the matter after all you aren't exactly bringing anything new to me other than telling me that I'm self-centered and egotistic and believe that less people should have no i do not believe less people should have it many people can have it for all i care i just wish they would have to work harder at it.

Gold is only 23% of the community, so it's a very small amount of people... they don't need to not give the skins.

Shame I'm being made to be an antagonist although i simply believe that gold isn't challenging as it use to be back before they removed the clamp and the decay and now its just another silver tier essentially

But if they WERE to make it say at plat even less of the community would get the skin... so there's really not much point in them changing that. They want a good range of players to get it and there are more in gold than there are in some of the higher... but even sadder fact is there's more players in Silver now than most every league

I suppose that's one way of looking at it, that rather than give it to people that would have to try really hard to get there and maintain that rank, that they give it to one that doesn't have to worry about decay or clamping so just literally and upgraded silver tier i suppose, but eh i suppose you lot are right.

They're trying to make it an attainable accomplishment.

If they wanted it to feel elite they'd give it to master's only. But they don't... they want to reward a good portion of the community for their accomplishments in ranked - to provide an attainable motivation for improvement.

Thus the ~30% of the population mark is a good bar to set, honestly.
