East Coast Servers/High Ping Time - Let's talk solutions

Dear Riot,

I am a U.S. Navy sailor and I love league of legends! I am currently training in sunny Florida for the next 1-2 years. I use LoL to connect and have fun with my friends I left back at home as well as the other military members who love it just as much as me. It is what I look forward to after a bad day. But I have a couple complaints...Almost every time I get in a game I am receiving massive lag spikes 600-1200+ and constant disconnects. Now I am aware that my internet is pretty crappy, but sadly I have no other choices. (The military limits us that way) Before you call me irrational I just want you to know that I wouldn't take all this time to write this if I were lagging in all my other favorite games such as GW2 and WoW, but frankly I am NOT. They both definitely have there moments but nothing compared to the amount of lag(high ping) I receive in LoL. I just recently found out that league of legends is the only big game without East Coast servers and it blew my mind. How could a game this giant, with millions of daily players, not make sure that half of their NA population has a quality connection to their servers?! Riot please give us military men a decent chance to play this great game. That's all I have to say. Thank you Riot for making an amazing game and I truly appreciate how well you listen to your community. keep it up!

Sorry to tell you man, but RITO failed Geography. They have a single server within the United states to represent all of North America (Including Canada), but instead of placing it somewhere in the middle they placed it solely at the west coast. There can be no other explanation other then that RITO of course is not familiar with how to use a map. Latitude and longitude OP. Sure some of them might still believe the world is flat, but hey what can you do? Also as for why RITO has not established East Coast servers or just entirely transitioned it to somewhere in the middle? Because Rito would have you believe that Ping does nothing to improve or effect your gaming experience.

IN A GAME WHERE A TWO SECOND STUN CAN BE LIFE AND DEATH.....ONE GAME TOLD THE WORLD THAT A FRAME RATE LAG OR DISCREPANCY COULDN'T ALTER THE COURSE OF A GAME AT ALL. THIS SUMMER TUNE IN TO RITO'S LOGIC. SHOULDN'T HAVE LIVED ON THE EAST COAST. Rated Pg13.

=/ Now, all jokes aside. I don't believe we'll ever get East Coast servers for League. Mostly because this issue has been brought up time and time again and the community always gets a "We're working on it," but gives us the players no insight as to what it is they've done or the steps being made to do just this. No offense to RITO, seeing as I enjoy the Art/champions/gameplay, but the CEO's or Corporate people could care less about the people on the east coast. Why? Simple, it takes money. Money, that they'd rather keep in their own pockets. Honestly, true or not, this is how I feel and I'm sure others are gradually coming to the same realization.

From my perceptive I honestly believe that one of the main reasons that we at NA are not nearly as competitive about the "Sport" of League and the competitive scene compared to say EU & etc. is for this reason: Our player base is solely consisted of the west coast because they have the means to excel, and the potential of players from the EC is silenced because we are thus unable to compete at a fair advantage. Even the East coast players that were good they were forced, had, to move to the west coast if they had any desire to go pro. This is just again my perception on it.

EU Has 2 different servers for east and west, NA should have 2 servers for east and west also. I know the Latin America servers are hosted in Florida (or so im told) but they could maybe put a NA East Server near New York or something. ALSO They should allow free transfer to the NA East if your currently in NA server

As stated by someone before, Riot only passed art class with honors, they failed at psychology/security/networking/geography and they got a C in coding.
