You ever notice that to the right of the boards there is like a box. And within this box it reveals to us through the power of the internet how many views these threads get. Click on Boards Home. Go look at it now and tell me what is the highest number?

Know why they wont fix the hud, solve the east coast server problem, dumb mmr system, afk, champ select troll, abusable report system, and all those other issues people rage over on the boards.

Because there isn't enough people on these boards to really even be considered a minuscule thought, to a soulless entity that is now a product for mass consumption and attraction, whose sole intent and purpose, IS TO MAKE THESE SKIIINNNNSSSS BABY HAHA! Yea ;D I'm cool and interactive! Yea! Don't You just love me ;{D Look at this new shit!!!! OH ya!

The fact that the highest viewed discussion is the guidelines and its only in the 543k compared to millions should say enough.

But there's more of us than them they say...

"Riot Baconhawk (NA) - about 5 hours ago We are here... there's a LOT of you and only a few of us (relatively).

:)"

Ha. When's the last time you heard the stats on people who actually use these boards in comparison to the people who play? Bet you it's a LOT lower than you would originally assume. Bet you it's closer to 2. something K. People who use the boards compared to their touted millions of players that play everyday (even though they don't want to take into account the variables like people who have multiple accounts, people who have signed on once and never play again, etc.).

I think people are frustrated, probably because they are passionate enough to waste time on these boards. Is that a bad thing? Probably. At least that's what Riot wants the forum users (a mere sub-section of the community usually more aware to the actual game itself enough to waste voicing an opinion) to think. They're turning into casual software. Our voice is the reason it still isn't.

never forget

When it comes down to the surrender vote, people who use these boards are the 1 in the 4/1.

  1. It's fairly typical in online games for most players to just, you know, play the game? If even 5-10% of the active players are posting on a forum about the game that's a pretty high number.

  2. If you want to talk about the number of players discussing the game online, you'd also need to include the League Subreddit and a number of other discussion sites related to the game.

  3. The number of people whining about something is not necessarily a good indication of how the entire population of the playerbase feels about it. The people who (for example) like the new HUD are much less likely to come online and post that than people who dislike it and are angry and upset. And there's a vastly larger group that's probably indifferent to the changes and is extremely unlikely to seek out a forum to say that they're not angry. That's human nature.

  4. If Riot didn't care and just wanted to milk the game they wouldn't have spent time and money designing a new HUD in the first place. Or the event they just rolled out. Or the balance updates they do every two weeks. Or the champion redesigns. Or even new skins. They'd fire all their designers and engineers and rake in massive profits for a few years while the game slowly died.

Know why they wont fix the hud

Y'know, there's a pretty large group of people even on the boards that actually like the new hud. I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

solve the east coast server problem

East Coast servers wouldn't actually solve many problems - if any at all. Which is why they're addressing that concern differently.

dumb mmr system

For all I hear this complaint, I've never seen a valid point behind it. Perhaps you can be the exception? What's so "dumb" about the mmr system?

afk

Leaverbuster?

champ select troll

Totally a punishable thing. Submit a support ticket if someone dodges the game.

abusable report system

There are so many anti-abuse functions built into the report system that I have no idea how it could possibly be abused. Perhaps you can enlighten me?

Honestly, I think the reason Riot isn't doing anything about most of these "issues" is that they honestly aren't actually issues at all.
