Another Example of Bad Behavior in Bronze
In team games like League there will be issues one must work with such as afk/dc's, toxic player, trolls ect. Regardless of what rank/division your in these occurrences are bound to happen from time to time.
This season I've been placed in bronze 2, which i willingly accept as a challenge to improve. Some players believe that Elo hell is the reason for being stuck in Bronze and that if they are there, they might as well give up being good sports and just fall into certain bad behaviors. I recently experienced a player who proved to be an entirely new type of bad behavior i have never previously experienced in my several years of playing league.
It all started in the champion select lobby where the player in question decided to announce several ground rules, which if any were broke would result in him immediately feeding the rest of the match. A few rules included; 1. if the enemy team gets first blood, he'll feed. 2. if anyone has a cs difference of over 25 by 15 minutes, He'll feed. 3. if any player dies 2 times before the 20 minute mark, he'll feed. And so on and so on. His philosophy was that these rules can be easily followed for anyone who is better than Bronze, and that those who are in Bronze who can't follow these rules deserve to be trolled so that they stay in Bronze. While his idea has some validity in terms of general guidelines one should follow to improve upon to get past Bronze, the rigidness of rules and amount of them left very little room for error.
So being the negotiator trying to keep the peace, i decide to be his support in the hopes that if he's is good as he's trying to act then we can carry and not have him feed. Fast forward 7 minutes in or so, one of his rules was broken setting him off causing him to deciding to feed the rest of the match. Inevitably the match is doom and he proceeds to condemn everyone on the team (minus me as i hadn't died once up until then) stating that they deserve to lose because they couldn't follow his rules and deserve to remain in Bronze as punishment for their shortcomings.
In the end the match is lost, and the LP penalty for losing stings all the much more due to this players twisted method of judging others performance. After leaving the post-game lobby i decide to check his match history to get an idea of whether this was a one-time thing or not. Rather disturbingly, within the 15 most recently recorded matches he last played, the last 12 in a row were clear signs he fed as they all had over 10 deaths and each match's build were 2-5 pair of boots of mobility if they even lasted longer than 20 minute. Some may chalk his bad behavior to simple trolling, or maybe he honestly believed what he was doing was justified, but regardless it affect those around him several time more so than himself.
TLDR; one players "justifications for feeding" is far more complex and devoted to than the average feeder, but all the same affects everyone they encounter negatively regardless of their reasoning.
