Why do i get matched against silver and gold players?

Im close to level 30 and i mostly play blind pick. But every time i win about 4 or more games in a row, i get matched against gold/silver players (3 times now). Then i usually feed really hard and everyone starts flaming me. So now, everytime i win a few games, i get scared that i win even more, get matched against some gold players, get flamed/reported etc. My friend said i should take it as an opportunity to learn, but i'd rather just play with people wth the same skill level..

I assume you're talking about normals. Normal MMR and Ranked MMR are separated I believe. So if the person hit level 30 and jumped immediately into ranked, his MMR shouldn't have changed from where you currently are.

This makes it so when they go play normals, they get to play with fresh 30s. If my understanding of it is correct, it's stupid and I'm sorry you have to deal with it.

mmr is weird. I think it just takes the mmr value of 5 players and organizes it so the team mmr is roughly equivalent. I'd like to make it clear, that this is my assumption on how it works. It may work entirely different.

(2000+1200+1200+1200+1100)/5 : is like 1 diamond player and 4 low silver. (1800+1600+1000+1000+970)/5 : is like platinum, gold, and 3 bronze.

The second team has 30 less mmr, but it's close enough to match these two teams against eachother.

Edit: So my math is way off, but my point stands! :P

When I try a "new" champion it activates matchmaking adjustment which is bullshit so I get matched with noobs to nobody's enjoyment.
