Because you are bronze..

I see a lot of people say. 'Bronze scrubs' or 'My teammates are bronze idiots'

just because some person is in bronze does not make him a bad player, I don't care what people make you think. (especially all them youtube videos bashing them) there are a lot of players who did their placement test, maybe they got placed in bronze (because it is a common placement) and they never touched ranked again,

maybe because they don't take the game serious enough to continue ranking, or maybe they just want to have fun playing the game and getting good at it with out climbing into the rank system.

so really they could be in bronze with a skill level of silver, gold, plat, or even diamond. something that really bothers me when making this kinds of topics, or any other person making topics about item balance or champion balance.

you see a response like:

'This kid is just a bronze newb he does not understand, So because he is in this made up division he is not worthy of this discussion? how are we suppose to learn? We where all newb players once, we did not know about this game at some point in time.

and now we look at a person in this forums/threads trying to make a point or simply ask a question, and we just say that he is a bronze newb and down vote him.. but we offer no answer. Just remember that somebody was thinking this about you when you was a newb also. A bronze player does not make him a bad player.. but thank you for putting us down. and letting us know where we stand in this community.

Now excuse me while I go have fun playing league. Wish you the best climbing up!

I view bronze as the start to playing the game, that a lot of people go through. Some people skip this phase of League completely because they have played mechanically challenging games or grand strategy games with high success.

I agree with what you say. Bronze is a derogatory term only because the people who can skip the phase completely can't fathom why someone could ever be stuck there. Bronze players aren't evil, they simply aren't really playing the whole game.

Nerfing certain champions because of bronze is however, a fools task. They will eventually get better and understand the game more hopefully in most cases.

In my opinion using bronze as an adjective describes a particular style of bad play that anyone with experience would recognize as being obviously a bad move. I know my friends and I use it that way to describe each other when we make an obvious mistake. It helps keep the mood light during a tough match.

The problem is some people can't make the distinction between bronze as an adjective and the rank. Everyone makes a bronze play once in a while, even challenger tier people, but that doesn't mean people with the bronze rank necessarily make them all the time. You can have near perfect play making ability without understanding basic concepts like CSing, situational build paths, and game closing strategies.

Again it's only my opinion, but while bronze is a term that will always be with League it doesn't have to be used in a way that looks down on others. Hopefully a few people find your thread and take it to heart.

or they are bronze cause they are actually bad.

The medium entry point is silver.

can confirm.

i got shit talked a lot this season for being low silver. i placed into silver 3 and decayed into silver 5 before they removed season decay. i managed to make it to gold in less than 60 ranked games all towards the end of the season because i wanted the morgana skin, so clearly i am not a silver player. yet people still felt a need to tell me how bad i was all year because i was in silver 5 simply due to inactivity.

Point 1) the funny thing is most bronze are there because there teams suck! point 2) if its ranked then that usually means they are bronze as well. point 3) Get better because anyone can play smart and carry a team. if they are anything but a sup....

the stigma is so bad that i'd honestly rather stay unranked than risk ending up in a "trash tier" because of how few pvp games i tend to play per day (if any).

funny how many people didn't read the whole post and are just posting "if you're better you'll carry yourself out" when he's referring to people who hardly play ranked games at all beyond their placements.

Nobody is going to talk to a bronze player like that unless they're actually doing something stupid. I've had a lot of games where a bronze player cooperated with the team, or even in some cases carried a bit. But I've also had more than enough where a player single-handedly threw a game, and that is when people start getting toxic.

It happens at almost all levels of play, "bronze" just happens to be one of the insults used in yours.

Ok, first I want to debunk this statement:

*** so really they could be in bronze with a skill level of silver, gold, plat, or even diamond. something that really bothers me when making this kinds of topics, or any other person making topics about item balance or champion balance.***

No. Perhaps for Silver, maybe early Gold , but if you're a Plat/Diamond level player the difference you can make on your own in a Bronze game is so huge I can't begin to explain it. That's why Diamond players make smurfs and get them to Plat/Diamond in a couple of weeks. Moving on.

League is not a new game. It's been out for 5 years now. As such, being in Bronze at this time of the game's lifespan means you are bad at the game, either because you haven't improved enough since you started playing, or because you're new to this and naturally lack knowledge and mechanical skill. This is not automatically a negative thing. As you said, some people just like enjoying the game and don't care to learn the skills needed to become better at it, and that's just fine. Truth is League is a very, VERY HARD game to learn and almost impossible to master, which means that a lot of people won't bother.

Having said all that, I haven't seen this happening. Downvoting people because they're bronze or because they're bronze and asked a question. Do you have examples?

Unless the question is something that you can easily find on a League wiki page or with a google search I don't see why it would be downvoted just because the person asking it is Bronze. On the other hand, if you're asking people to explain about more advanced topics (specific team comps, sieging, split-pushing) in an irrelevant thread I'd downvote that too as that's not the place to ask such things (imo).

But the downvoting would be because "this is not the place", not because "this is a question asked by a Bronze player".

I'm not sure where this massive "community injustice" that you mention is happening (in forums, in-game it's just flaming and the person is 99% a bad player themselves).
