So wait, he insulted a guy that was intent feeding... and riot banned him for it.

So if riot wants to eliminate the "source of toxic behavior in order to improve the community" why aren't their harsher punishments for intent feed or assist enemy team? You play 3 games where someone on your team gets fed up and feeds a ton of kills because he wants to make everyone else miserable.

and I can speak from experience, I've received chat bans for telling people that intent feed to get ****ed.

So lets change the context of this.

I'm at McDonalds, and some jerk decides to take a dump on the floor because hes the kind of person that does that.

I now can't eat, I can;t enjoy anything and I say "Get ****ed you floor ****ing ****-face " And the McDonalds Manager says "sir, you can't eat at McDonald's for a month... the floor crapping guy though, he can stay since he only crapped on the floor once in recent memory"

Riot has hired sociologists that have told them "A person expressing their frustration that verbally abuses his teammates only spreads toxicity" And I agree, I am positive that all my yelling and cussing has likely left a bad taste in the mouths of the other players, but guess what, my behavior isn't the source of the problem, it's a symptom of it.

Riot doesn't permaban the trolls that seek to create a miserable experience for everyone but themselves, they chatban and suspend the people that get upset by those trolls.

This is like bandaging a cut, but not doing anything about the guy stabbing you. But then patting yourself on the back and heaping congratulations on yourself for being super progressive for your bandaging technique. Wouldn't you think that with everything that riot has put in to improving the community over the years, that we'd be reaping the benefits at this point? But people are as Toxic as they have been because again, Riot attacks the symptoms not the cause.

But I think the biggest part of the problem is that matches in league take so long to set up and to end that when you have one person that chooses to engage is asinine behavior, and one other guy on the team that refuses to surrender because "you never surrender come on" I can;t exit the game because again, I am punished and then I am even more angry and even more likely to engage in toxic behavior because now not only am I mad because I had over an hour of my life stolen from me, but that the game devs are in full support of me having t waste my time, and try to play an unwinnable game.

I'm going to make a quick comparison to heroes of the storm, I won;t dwell on this too long because heroes is really a different animal, but I do not have to wait upwards of 10 minutes to get a match going and the matches are often 15-20 mins, excet for that one map with the plants. And if a player decides to feed or troll, the game ENDS SOONER, a game with a teammate that decides to troll and assist the enemy team, makes for a short crappy game, which you quickly forget because you end up playing a much more fun actual game 5 mins later, which lasts longer. The player experience here is "when it sucks it's not that long, but when it's good you get a 'real game' "

But the average league game is 30 to 40 mins that plus the 10-15 mins of waiting and that is a full hour that you are trapped playing an unwinable game getting angrier and angrier then you sit waiting for a new game which is not a pleasant experience, and then you get a game where maybe just maybe everyone on your team actually wants to play.

Now I'm not going to say "brink Dunkey back or I'm quitting"

But I am going to say Dunkey is why I started playing league, he's why a lot of my friends started playing, and he has convince me to go back when I had had enough and uninstalled. and with 1,821,332 subscribers and 563,252,441 views I feel safe in saying that I am likely not alone Dunkey has encouraged me to get new characters, buy skins, and overall try fun things in league. His ban doesn't make me want to say "I'm not playing league ever again" but it does make me think "what made this game fun again?"
