A bit late. (About Dunkey)

This is a topic about Dunkey. It's a bit late and if ya don't like it, you don't have to read it. First off, he deserved the ban due to the rules Riot has set in place. Could they have lifted it for a few days to let him finish a video? Yes. But as soon as that video is done, ban him. It would have been easy, simple, and avoided a lot arguments that are going on. Now I don't feel like toxicity is something that can apply to a game or the players unless it or they are physically bad for you, but the conduct on his part and the Malphite was very unsportsmanlike. With the rules Riot has in place, and I say it like that because I don't really care if somebody talks trash, Dunkey deserved the ban. I guess telling somebody they should die is pretty bad, unless the commit genocide or something. But the ban hammer should go down on Malphite a hundred times harder. Instead of making one person feel bad he ruins the whole game for all the other players. I feel like that's a lot worse, but maybe that's just me. On the subject of talking trash, there is the mute button. Why have the tools there if you aren't going to use them? I guess the report tool is available, but the mute button seems a lot simpler.

 On the subject of the game itself, it does seem to breed what players call toxicity. I mean, sitting in a match for 40-50 minutes or even longer is going make some tempers rise. Especially if you have people trying to ruin the game on purpose. Should you hold it in? Yes, but I agree with what a lot of people have said. If somebody acts like an asshole, you should be able to call them an asshole.  I played the game a lot with my friends until we stopped a year or so ago. I still go back on and off. I find the game enjoyable in small doses. I actually enjoy ARAM more since the matches aren't as long and it's like russian roulette. But when I do play conquest there are some players who seem to want to ruin the game for others. These players are the worst of the bunch, but they won't get banned over others who are calling them out on all the bullshit they do in a game? That seems like a flawed system, but again maybe that's just how I feel. 

 I enjoy Dunkey's videos a lot. I feel like the greatest hits section is better due to variety. But I do always get a kick out of the League videos. I know they're all clips and edited, but the voice and the actions make me laugh. Does that make me a fanboy? Absolutely. If I'm a fan of something or somebody, I'm not gonna deny it. I feel like Dunkey quitting League was not solely because of this incident. The game does get a little boring after an extended period of time, but it is fun to come back to once in a while. Though after playing it for four of five years I can see how somebody might be done with it. Four or five years with having to deal with people intentionally ruining what seems like every other game, it could easy drive somebody to quit.

 My last thoughts on the subject are as follows. Dunkey deserved to be banned, but they could have let him finish one video. Malphite deserves to be banned for a much longer period of time. Riot should have a system where you can send a page or text to an employee in the middle of a match. That way they can pop in, see what's the matter, and deal with it. I feel like they have the money to set something like that up. I hope Dunkey keeps making amazing videos and someday comes back to League. And saying somebody is toxic is just the stupidest thing. Sure, they're unsportsmanlike. But the definition of toxicity does not apply to what people are doing. They aren't physically hurting the other people that play with them and they aren't hurting the overall game that is League of Legends. More people seem to be playing, not less. Even with the so-called toxic players playing the game. Unsportsmanlike or even assholes, not toxic.
