Twice i have been banned when i was raged all game by some butthurt child. They literally start talking crap in champ select and continue to be toxic for the entire game. Yet because he is duo i get double reported if i even make a single comment....and i get the ban. This system is bullshit...raging children get to continue to degrade this game and anyone who says enough gets screwed. I'm saddened and pissed by this lack of real oversight and the fact that people can be as toxic and abusive as they want if they are in a duo. Well riot....i have played since before season 1 and have seen this garbage approach to punishment cause a lot of decent people to quit....and truthfully I am not far behind. Better to play a game i dont like as much than get screwed again by riot autoban because i wont bow down to raging, toxic people.

mute them. tad da, now report them after. ta da. you didnt listen to them at all in game and now they get a ban. they report you and ban themselves cause to many false bans turns into a ban due to "abusing the ban system". Duo or not people who are toxic are usually toxic. the duo just helps them a bit.

OP can you explain to me why you believe retaliation is not only your right, but that you shouldn't be punished? Last I checked a guy punches you in a bar, he goes to jail... you punch back - you both go to jail. "He started it" has never been a valid excuse... Kindergarten taught us that.

Mute as soon as you get into game.. Problem solved.

Duo, Trio, doesn't even matter. If the report is valid it will go through and i guess the system thinks you deserve punishment ggwp

That sounds really frustrating. Sorry to hear it.

The report system doesn't keep track of the number of individual reports made against you. Rather, it tracks the number of reported games you have. This is done to ensure that premade groups can't abuse the system to screw over solo players.

Which simply means that the two reports you received from them aren't worth any more than a single report.

I'm not sure what "approach" you're referring to, here. Would you mind clarifying?

Better to play a game i dont like as much than get screwed again by riot autoban because i wont bow down to raging, toxic people.

I suppose that makes sense. I feel that it's important to clarify that the ban system doesn't simply issue bans to the most reported players, but actually runs a chat detection algorithm to determine the veracity of those reports. This is also specifically done to prevent potential abuse by trolls and toxic players.

I get the impression, overall, that you disagree with Riot's policy against retaliation. If that's the case, would you mind offering the counter-case to that policy? Is there some benefit to allowing players to retaliate against each other that I'm unaware of?
