Trash talk

Does anyone else miss the days when you could trash talk without the guaranteed million game chat ban? i remember years ago when i first started playing at the back end of season 2, trash talk was abundant and there weren't such tough restrictions on doing it. The game has rapidly declined in the last year when it comes to this and most of the reports these kids send in aren't even legitimate reports yet it adds to your file or w/e database type system Rito has up during this eternal tribunal maintenance. For me, half the fun of this game was trash talking the enemy team or your own team when they were blatantly feeding. The only reason those losing games were fun is because you could cleverly insult the kids on your team =). I know there is a bunch of soft players who can't handle the abuse because they were on the tit for the first ten years of their life and sheltered from the real world by their ignorant parents, but is that a reason to punish us? I say no! What is the point of a mute button and a chat filter that tackle this issue for these players who don't want to be involved in a competitive environment? Let us have our trash talking back. Im tired of trying to be reigned down by this computer based restriction system. Thoughts?

If people enjoyed your trash talking, they wouldn't report you.

yeah its fun and they still do it all the time in high elo because they know each other. too many kids that get salty about everything and will cut their wrists if you even joke with them. Only game thats like that, hell in cs go we do the same but with voice chat to our team and text chat to the other team makes for wayyyyyy more fun games

My husband got a chat ban for politely asking for a gank in chat. That doesn't seem extreme at all.

I miss the days when people didn't feel the need to trash talk because it was the "cool thing" to do.

Also the difference between trash talking today, and trash talking say, 15-20 years ago is, back then, if you said something you had to 1) back it up or 2) make sure it was a joke, cause otherwise you were made a fool of, or hit in the mouth (it's just the way it is, look at traditional sports and trash talking).

Today, teenagers and young adults who never had to grow up trash talk because they can hide behind their computers with no worry of consequences, being internet "Badasses" because no one can do anything but trash talk back, and if it comes down to it, they just turn off their monitors.

I guarantee 95% of the people that trash talk in this game wouldn't dare say any of the same things in person, and the 5% that would probably have very few social interactions in the real world.

When someone trash talks in all chat (especially on a strong champ), the first thing that comes to mind is "This guy must have a really small penis."

We have to have chat restrictions. People need to feel good about their 32th place ribbons!!!

500 wins in 3 months and I don't at all attribute this to teams calling me an idiot or my laner trash talking me into shame while I was learning the game.

None of this motivated me to be better.

I'm just that damn good.
