IP boosts as rewards for positive play

ME and some friends were talking about the absolutely terrible ban system (after what happened to dunkey) and we were wondering if there was anything in the works to reward positive play instead of not punishing not negative play. There really is a huge difference between the two and honestly may make strides to reforming our consistently toxic community. Say we reward positive players with IP boosts or random champion unlocks(preferably IP because then it will actually make a valid reason for making runes as expensive as they are) instead of holding fear of punishment over them. I think it would help far more.

TL:DR; MAke a push to reward good, teamwork oriented play with tangible rewards that wouldnt take a huge chunk out of Riots revenue stream, such as IP boosts or champion unlocks because that would be far better than fear of punishment for reformation.

You should check out Gnarsies on Youtube, he made a video with evidence that Dunkey was a toxic player. Anyway - there is a reward for being positive. - being able to keep playing the game

Yeah, but if that like saying whoopie, you won a huge science fair, you get to go home with you project instead of the 50,000 dollar prize.

True, although there are good behaviour rewards. I got a mystery champion AND a mystery skin this year

Plus, this would be an awesome way to help promote new players to join the game. I know from my friend's experiences with league of legends it's incredibly difficult to get into the game due to the giant paywall of champions. Sure, there's the weekly free to play ones, but if you want to play one specific character you generally either have to work INCREDIBLY HARD and just grind out game after game, or spend RP. With this, they get rewarded for being good players and it helps them get into the game more easily, especially with a champion unlock.

For the more veteran players though, Chroma packs would be an awesome reward or rune pages, or even random skins.

They do give out Good Behavior awards. I've gotten icons, skins, champions, IP boosts, and even RP.

It not based on honor, though. That turns it onto a commodity. It becomes tradeable and trolls can hold honor hostage if you don't play what and how they want.

True, but make a pointless currency where either you don't get reported or you get honored / commended you'll get a point. Then once you get X amount of points you'll be rewarded with an IP Boost. Just make it more reliable compared to the ones now where people have no clue where they come from.

That turns it into a populartiy contest and adds the commodity aspect. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want my rewards dependent on if I can finagle honor points out of people. I can think of plenty of games where my only offense was not playing up to an expected skill level.

As far as having no clue where they come from, all the previous rewards have been splashed accross the announcements and main screen when they come up. Not to mention the forum/board posts that crop up.

Lets be honest here, at lest people that are pretending to be positive are far better than playing with someone trying really hard to not completely lose his shit at you.

IF they do, why don't they promote that? the general consensus of the community is to avoid getting banned. If they actually made being a positive player a huge deal instead of secretly rewarding people like its a bribe, it would be far more effective.

None of the rewards I've gotten were "stealth" rewards. Every one was accompanied by announcements on the website and splashed across the main page of the client and most were Snowdown gifts that went out to players in good standing behavior-wise.
