I play katarina mid and sometimes support zilean, the thing is no matter how fed i am my team still loses. It's not that i have trouble taking objectives, it's just i can't seem to get my team to group up with me to take nexus, how do i follow through with easy wins if i have to 1v5 the rest of the team? advice tips?
Have you done all you could for your team?
Do you ward?
Are you aware of all champion abilities?
Are you able to take ALL objectives after something happens?
Are you fast enough to save somebody from a situation?
Do you peel for your team?
Do you communicate with your team?
Have you pinged for your team to do something?
Are there enough wards on the map?
Do you tell your team what not to do next to they are in a situation?
Do you last hit well?
Do you harass well?
Do you bait well?
If you say no to one of these questions(except number 5) then you now know what you should work on.
umm well im no expert and i realize that zilean and kat are fun champs. But if you want to win games and up in ranks, you gotta play those OP champs that are hot at the moment. Champs like shyv, jinx, lucian, annie, mundo, etc. Champs like this. I dunno know. just a thought. Oh and i love kat, always wanted to main her in ranked, got to silver 1 and then realized kat cant really carry games. to easy to shut her down. Im Gold V before the reset and i dont play her much in ranked. i dunno tho lol.
1) Get better at CS'ing (last hitting)
There is no excuse for missing CS. Cs is the best way to acquire gold. Kills are good but the safest and easiest way is still last hitting minions. I say around 70 cs in about ten minutes should suffice. Practice this it is very important.
2) Trade effectively.
What makes me cringe at low elo is that the enemy player will over extend to get a cs without being punished. Dot let you enemies get easy cs. Do let your enemy get of consistent poke, poke them back. No free poke on you either. Make them pay for poking you. If you are going to poke an enemy and in the process you miss CS, that is not worth it. Do not poke if you are going to miss CS.
3) Map Awareness
Most people die due to the lack of awareness of enemies on the map. Try to keep tabs on the enemy jungler and which lanes he is in so you can know where is could be hiding at the given moment or the future. Be aware of missing enemies in lanes. WARDS give vision and can see enemies at the given area. You can either retreat or make counter plays without going in blind. WARDS win games. Placing wards is not just the supports job it is EVERYONE'S job and EVERYONE should buy wards.
