5/10 Provisional and Bronze 3.
I was Silver IV last season with a 4/10 provisional and I stayed there though 50 ranked matches yet this season when I did ranked this season going 5/10 and got Bronze III. Could someone explain this to me?

You most likely played badly during those 10 games.
I got stuck low too and its horrible
Riot said they were doing something called a "soft reset" meaning, most likely, that you would be a few steps behind from where you where last season. I understood it to mean a section down or two, but the reality is it has been a 4 section drop to some people which is what you have experienced. It is very possible you did not encounter any unforeseeable events and this is actually what riot decided to do, but there is no bigger consecutive difference than silver to bronze. Best of luck
You mean 5/5 cause yeah that math of 5/10 doesn't work ;)
Last season I dropped from S3 on a 5-5 provisional to B3 on a 6-4 provisional. It isn't just this season. I wasn't too worried about it because I was back into silver in about 2 weeks. I was then in gold about a month later. If you don't belong in bronze, it doesn't take long to get out of it. My advice is to use champions who can carry a team, not carry themselves. Sure, you may be able to go 30-5 on adc, but adc is team reliant and easily focused down. I climbed into gold using mostly Rumble. He can have a score like 5-5 late game and still annihilate almost the entire enemy team with his ult. If he gets fed, it is basically a won game. In bronze and silver, it seems easiest to win games playing champions who are considered good team fighters, not good carries.
