Is it just me or has the "soft" reset cause all hell to break loose on the airwaves of in-game chat? It's like the end of the world every game! An apocalypse of leavers, afkers, ragers, and trolls all meeting like never before on the rift. And to add to the chaos, I've seen golds absolutely mauling bronzies in every single game, creating a luck of the cards matchmaking queue. I feel like I'm back in DOTA Allstars...
Original Quitter6 votesYeah this reset does particularly suck. ELO/MMR systems place to much importance on your first 3 games. If you loose your first 3 you are totaly screwed and if you get carried you get boosted, it sucks.
It's generally wise to sit out the first week or two unless you are platish ELO

i agree, but i was excited for the reset. Dumb lil me! i'll try to get out but if i don't make it within 100 games i'm going to stop playing ranked. Promos take the fun out of the game for me.
DevenZxZ3 votesA hard reset would have at least been hilarious... It seems that a soft reset has done nothing but pit gold/silver/and bronze into one mass queue together. Because bronze couldn't move down anymore, low gold/silver have just been pushed into the same tier. Next lvl ELO hell FTW!

Matthias91191 votesBy definition a rating reset lowers the rating of above-average players. It's not supposed to be "get lucky in promos and get placed way higher than you were".
Players who had significantly below-median ratings (probably ~B2 and below) should be able to place higher if they do well.
DevenZxZ1 votesExcept there is a massive logical gap between such a reset and "get lucky" promos... That combination of tier division makes the first weeks of the season absolutely hectic, which in turn creates the larger issue, ragers galore.
Aerothal2 voteswe'll i must say that i have had a tough time lately being the nice player i usually am. I never had a ban or a chat restriction since i started in season 2. This seasons reset is frustrating to the core. I was dropped to bottom tier because i botched my placements. I am having a hard time keeping my calm at the mo.
