Non binary league players!

Submitted to Miscellaneous cause nothing else seemed to fit. I've made a public chat room for gender non binary folks and allies to talk or game with each other. We always get erased and most queer spaces I've come across are dominated by binary folks. The room is simply called: non binary

I've been playing league for a few years and with lots of people. Many of the people I've played with in the past have uttered the most transphobic, racist, sexist things, all when they were angry or joking or casually. The chat in game has been toxic enough but when it's people who I thought I could feel safe around or tell about my identity, it really hurts. I've considered just quitting this game many times but when I think of others who may be going through this same thing, I want to reach out to them. I think alot about the ones who maybe aren't as fortunate as I am to have at least one person to talk to. Plus I really just like this game. I'm sure plenty of us think about quitting this game because of how toxic chat can get, even more so for LGBT folks like me. I should feel safe playing this! All of us should feel safe playing!

Non binary league players, I'm here for you. You aren't alone and you don't have to play by yourself or with toxic people. You don't have to play with people who erase you. I'll play with you. I'm sure there are others who will play with you too. :) | | | | tldr; chat called "non binary" open for gender non binary peeps (allies welcome too).

Normally I wouldn't go for something like this but you make a very strong point here. I can't count the amount of times over the past week alone somebody has just said something was "gay" without even realizing that it could be considered offensive. It doesn't generally bug me but after a couple of tense games you really get a lot of messed up phrases or inappropriate comments hurled about. Being asexual I've never really been a big fan of the confrontational stances most men and women tend to take against one another and in recent years with more awareness of other archetypes being out there.... well, lets just say that you might just find me in said channel in hopes of finding some players other than just my current friends. It'll be worth it if only so I don't have to mute a bunch of people and play in silence. As long as those in it don't devolve into doing the same thing towards the common gender archetypes you'll likely see me around there.

I'm wanting to keep it safe so people bringing slurs and such will be booted or ignored or w/e I can do with the chat I made lol. If enough peeps join I'm considering getting a mumble server or something.
