"bank" LP so you dont get 99 LP and have to play a whole game for 1-2 LP

Hey, how does that sound: Riot implementing a "banking" system, where you can put up to for example 5LP (has to be a small amount to prevent excessive use/abuse) when you play a game, hit 100LP and would actually hit more than 100LP. That way you could prevent those painful moments when you realize that you just won a game and are on 99LP, which makes you play a whole game for just 1LP, which happened quite often to me so far, despite not playing that many rank games. Of course it should let you chose yourself whether you want to use your banked LP or not. And yes i know many people would probably not like this idea, but i guess those are the people who didnt experience this so far or more than once and are not annoyed by it :P...

See the whole reason why you're not getting much LP is because the league system believes that your mmr is not high enough to join the next highest bracket. In some cases, this is true, in other cases it might not be. However, your biggest issue is the fact that you haven't played many ranked games.

While this is an idea that you have presented, it would get somewhat out of hand. You could conceivably skip full tiers just by saving up enough lp to do so, which would completely jeopardize where you are placed and how you stack up against your opponents.

When I was ranking up out of bronze, I made it all the way to promotionals for silver five, lost those and then went on a bit of a tilt, after that I was elo clamped SIGNIFICANTLY until I finally made those final pulls into silver. Believe it or not, there is an advantage to this elo clamping. Assuming of course that you do belong in the next highest league, when you get past the lp clamping, your mmr will be significantly higher than those of your peers in the same league. Because of that, every win will net you 25~ lp. Granted, this will only last (and even get better) if you continue to win after that.

I am an example to prove this as well. I was promoted around mid September to Silver five, since then in only two or three weeks, I've made it halfway through silver two and I'm hoping to get to gold before the season ends.

tl;dr: Never give up hope, if you just bear through the lp clamping then you will be more better off in the future than you could imagine.

If you are at 99 LP and you think you should be in the promotion and your good enough for it you should be able to win the next game. If you are bummed that you have to play another game you shouldn't, after all this game is mostly for fun and you shouldn't be bummed to play another game! It should just give you a excuse to play more!
