Please let us take summoner names from perma banned summoners

You really want to be mistaken for someone who flamed enough to get permaed?

It is to keep people from creating a new account with the same name after being banned.

Won't the player who got permabanned just make a new account with the same name then (or just rename their current acount)? Riot bans acounts not players now. So there would be little to stop players from just reusing the name of their permabanned acount, especially since most of them aren't remembered by anyone other than the player who made the account (because most banned players are anonymous bronze-gold players, not high elo streamers).

Maybe make the name unable to take for the first 1 or maybe 2 months after the permaban. After that make it possible to take that name. As someone else pointed out. Someone could make a new account with the same name after a permaban.

The perma bans are not permanent , they are only 6 month bans FYI . This account has gotten one before , the client is incapable of perma bans . . .

Not every player spends all of their time with live streams, LCS, reddit, and "XJ9" No ones gonna get flamed for having the name of a perma'd summoner. Stupid.

I agree would be great if name purges happened every 60 - 90 days at least for perm banned accounts.
