Strategy/Scenario Mode (game type)
As I have been playing through the extensive nooks and crannies of the glorious game that is League, I had a thought. As time goes by, playing with a set team that you are with can get a little difficult if you can't execute certain team attacks correctly, or you just can't line things up right, due to another enemy is incredibly fed for some odd reason (not your fault :D). Or, maybe this isn't the case. Maybe you just wanted to get a real challenge out of League. Like turning around a fight from enemies having taking an inhibitor and one nexus turret. Or you just want to enjoy ganking as your super-fed, super-bad self. Well, I believe there is a solution to this. A scenario mode (applause and cheering)! I realize this would be a big overhaul to do, but in this mode, you could control almost every aspect of the game. For instance, say you want to work on a specific strategy between a few champs, and you want to experiment with a few different ways to do said strategy. Well, you with the scenario mode, the creator of the game has the power to assign builds, gold, exp, levels, etc. at the beginning of the game. Then, you can control the traits of the bots. As in, you can make all opposing bots defensive, generally hugging the turrets and working towards survival, or make them incredibly offensive, making them dive for kills and things to that effect, or even make them work as a cohesive whole or as a bunch of little lone wolves roaming the map. As far as abuse of this goes, there would need to be a max IP/EXP limit on this, else it would be far too easy to make a game where it is impossible for you to be killed, and you rack up kills well over 50. The existing policy on IP/EXP on custom games will be applied, making the player unable to recieve IP or EXP unless they have at least half of the players as human players, the game being X amount of time long (would have to be examined due to starting point of the game that is created), etc. Also, on the opposite side of this, there is also a IP/EXP boost for fighting against overwhelming odds. For instance, if you were to start a game where you were level 10, and everyone else on your team was 10 as well, and you all only had one item of a build and only part of another, but the enemy team was all the way up to 15 and having 2 or 3 items of a good build, with them having pushed all the way to the inhibitor turrets on all lanes, and taking out one inhibitor, and you manage to turn that around? Not only are you an epic player, but a small percentage boost can be implimented for each handicap against yourself that is put in place. Conversely, a negative percentage boost can be put in (more punishing for people who just want to kill relentlessly) to stop farming IP off of this mode. Not only can you create your own scenario to fight your way through, there can also be a number of presets, similar to challenges. For instance, you are paired with a team of melee champions, and you have to defeat a team of ranged as a certain champion (melee), increasing the cause for teamwork. Decisions on whether these challenges would be single-player or multiplayer would be up to Riot, but they could work either way. I do believe that things in League are well built already, but I think this could be an excellent way for newly formed teams of players to work together and build their team's strategy, and just gain practice in teamwork in a low-pressure environment, being able to experiment with builds, combos, and strategies to figure out what works the best for the player singly, and the team as a whole.
I have a feeling that this could be an amazing addition to the League's incredible layout, just making it easier for people who find new groups/teams, whether for ranked or regular PvP, to work on synchronizing their war efforts and making teamwork more effective in game, and not worrying about if a teammate will know what to do when he charges into initiate a fight. I hope this idea has gotten some gears in your guys' minds turning, and I really would like to see this implemented.
