The most toxic.. why?

Just thought I'd ask you seasoned, dedicated players.. why just about every single game of League of Legends (even in bots) must have either a complete racist or someone who verbally attacks you not on a gaming level but on a personal level.

This game is very well made, has great graphics and even a gripping story for each Champion. I don't hate LoL, I just would love to play even one game where people don't make me regret hitting "Play". When I first started playing this game I heard rumors from RL co-workers saying things like "LoL is bad for your health" or "LoL has the worst trolls", so I kind of expected it.. but the fact that even muting someone wont stop the abuse or hate is very disturbing and off-putting.

I totally understand that racism and inconsiderate people are everywhere but tbh.. it seems they're mostly here in LoL. How do you players continue to feel good about LoL after someone who you've never even met wants to hurt you and leave a lasting impression like that... in almost every game..? I'm just at a loss.. I don't understand why people.. so many people would want to be so hateful and WANT to inflict bad out of spite v.v;

Sorry if you hate this post, I realize I've whined and all that but I'm serious with my question.. how do you seasoned, dedicated LoL players continue after you've seen the toxicity of the LoL community?

Is it always this bad after lvl 30 or just before? Why is it so bad and why hasn't the tribunal worked? Why are Riot letting people bully other people with racism and worse verbal abuse...?

The most toxic was when I fell into a barrel with radioactive wastes in Fallout.

I hate everybody who starts a discussion with "toxic".

There will never be a system in place that can stop it. The only thing that could stop it would be a system so strict that even friendly players will be too scared to type anything. There are too many grey areas and plausible deniability cases to morally justify banning everyone who says something negative. Unless Riot hired about 30 million people to deal with each unique case. I don't see that happening.

You just have to get yourself in a state of mind where you are not bothered by it or mute everyone before the match really starts. I have to mute everyone because I am too angry at angry people. If someone rages at me or anyone else, I start attacking the rager for raging and it turns into a 40 minute long argument. Sometimes that isn't even enough though. When they spam pings at you all game, (even if they are 0-20) you can pretty well understand their intent and that sucks too.

I only speak for myself but muting and taking a break from the game for a bit are the only two things I can really do about it.
