Know of any good black friday/cyber monday computer sales?

My current computer is turning 8 years old next month which means I can pretty much only play a select number of games on the lowest setting possible. I'm even starting to struggle to run those games as they get updates/expansions.

I'm looking to spend around $800 give or take and I'm hopeful to get a computer that will last me at least another 5-6 years with out upgrading.

If any one knows any good holiday deals it would be greatly appreciated if you pass them along.

A lot of those don't get published until pretty much the day before. My best suggestion would be to just keep an eye on Newegg over the next week or so and see if any good deals pop up. If you haven't already, you could sign up for their mailing list so you'll get info on the deals emailed right to you.

Yup, New Egg is the way to go

Make sure to build your own.

I built a computer for $1,100

.....That would have cost $2,400 had I bought it already built ( Custom / or Alienware). Identical parts and everything.

So... If 2 hours of your time is worth less than ~$1300... Build it yourself. Buy from New Egg. If not, I'll custom build you one for a fee of $150 and it'll be twice as good as anything you'd ever buy. Thats not an exageration, anyone can vouch this is indeed a fact and that boxed computers are a rip off and are usually built with cheaper parts.

I built my current computer and would have no problem assembling a new one.

The things I don't understand are what specs are good and what parts are compatible with each other.

I was looking around and a lot of the comments on the pre-made computers there are people at a glance who say "oh the power supply is insufficient and the psu is way below the rest of the parts." I would genuinely have no idea with out some one telling me that was true.

There are some pre-black friday sales on amazon/newegg. If I need to wait until closer to black friday I'll try bumping this again on thanksgiving.

Still any help people may have to offer is appreciated.
