So the hextech system...

Just gunna start out by saying I was really excited for this crafting system, seemed like it was going to be really fresh for league. Upon it's launch today I am not impressed. Now i just want to put this in perspective that I own every champion and have tons of IP stored up with nothing to spend it on really.

I am well aware that Riot only said they were considering implementing an IP market for the system and that it wouldn't be available upon the initial release, sure that is all fine and dandy. I also remember that with the announcement of this system there were rioters saying that they would implement something for folk like me that own every champion.

Sad to say that something doesn't exist. I bought ten chests to test out the drops and all that and 3 of those gave me champion shards. Wasn't upset at first until I noticed that if i disenchant them that I would only get blue essence. Still wasn't miffed because I thought that if i rolled them into a permanent and then disenchanted it I would be rewarded with orange essence, sadly you still only get blue. As far as i'm aware you can ONLY use blue essence for champions, and if that is the case well then those chest legitimately just wasted my money.

I'm not asking for a refund and I'm also aware that spending of the money was my choice and my problem but I'm pretty sad that steps weren't taken to read if a summoner owns all the champions or not.

As far as the skins and ward skins and such, great system and looking forward to it but I'd really love something to spend my IP on and something to make sure I can make use of champion shards if I happen to pull them from a chest.

EDIT: I just used my spare RP to buy single chests to test if renting the skin would use blue essence, and it does not. Be wary of spending money on chests if you already own all champions.
