Inactive Summoner Names

So, I have a few names I've been keeping track of for a very very long time. item 3348 3 years ago (August 16th) one of the names I wanted, played their last game before making an account in a different region. summoner 4 I actually wrote the date down in a notepad after seeing a couple months go by without them playing a single game.

I thought we had to wait 2 & 1/2 years for a name to become available?

summoner 31 My excitement two and a half years later to grab the name, and well it said unavailableitem 3151 . I've literally tried for the last 5-6 months everyday checking via store if the Summoner name will come up available item 3050 . Well, I submitted a ticket about 5 months ago and Riot support team told me they are not sure if someone simply logging in without playing a single game will consider them "Active."

I know for sure people are not playing games in different regions because of ping issues, and matchhistory has not updated at all in the last 3 years. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

PLS Inactive Summoner names should be based on GAMES not just logging in to keep the fkn name.... item 3070

When is the next Inactive Summoner name cleanup? Does Riot even care [zombie-brand-mindblown]

It's probably not inactive, but banned. Banned accounts don't expire, I've been waiting to get my og account name back for 4 years...

That already is the case. According to the Summoner Name Clean Up support article, "if an account hasn't played any games for a certain amount of time, their Summoner name will be flagged as available."

1.You have to play at least 1 game to keep your summoner name active 2.Level 1 to 6 have a 6 months inactive protection and add a month for every level that pass level 6, example level 30 = 30 months inactive protection(which mean a level 30 account have to play at least 1 game in 30 months to keep their summoner name active). It only works if you're using RP for the name change.
