Watching west coast streamers complain about ping...

I'm always watching someone on Twitch and it cracks me up when someone complains about their ping being high. "Oh man, I'm lagging. My ping is 90..."

Now while I understand a spike in ping, especially from 30-90 is drastic, that's still far less than what I play with regularly on East coast. In fact, when I started playing League years ago, I averaged 90. Now, I'm lucky to go below 120. I would KILL to have 90 ping again, it's insanely noticeable. The fact that I get slightly less ping on the NA server than I do on EUW server is insane.

I know that this has been said a million times, but it's nearly impossible to dodge a meaningful skill shot or even line up critical one yourself. It's just to the point that it's harder and harder to continue playing, which sucks because my addiction level has returned in full force.

This is always the worst, when a game that you truly love playing has core issues that prevents (or nearly prevents) you from playing. The last time this happened was around '03 when Planetside had a major patch and caused many to have completely unstable clients and were unable to play, with no cares given from SoE.

i was watching i am gosu on stream yesterday. i had to stifle a laugh because he was complaining in chat to their team that he could have easily outplayed a lucian if he didn't have 100 ping at the time.

i have 100 ping on a good day...

just 2 days ago bjerg complained about the spike to 30 ping. i understand hes a good player and shit but if i was next to him i would have punched him in the face. i deal with 150 ping average in new york and i still dont understand why the west coast gets all the love while the east coast sucking dick in server progress since day 1.

I actually average 60 ping in CO, So I can see 120 on east.

To be honest, pinballing between 30 and 100 is much worse than playing at 90 consistently. I generally get about 50 ping in southern CA, but when it starts spiking to 120 it's almost impossible to play because it's completely unpredictable. Playing at 110 all the time (which I did when I lived on the east coast) is significantly less disruptive.

That being said, it's definitely a huge difference going from 108 to 47. I feel your pain.
