Ranked?
is there any point playing ranked? im silver and i still be silver after reset thing right? and this whole Choose a board thing is confusing!

Ranked is the only real way to actually play the game. Normals are like playing poker without money (or for inconsequential amounts). People don't play the same.
In response to your question: You will have to start over and earn your placement. Tough hit if you were in Challenger, but I know you can rise to the occasion.
In response to the Ranked Only community : It's typical to feel pressured into playing League of Legends and play in Ranked. I'm still being pushed to do the same thing on this new account I share with my family. I'm being pushed to play Ranked, to look up my opponents online in the middle of a game, I'm pushed to play the game the way everyone else plays it.
But I tell you, this game will make you happiest if you play the way you want.
A typical study on happiness will tell you that doing what you like and getting that feeling a sense of "in the zone"-ness is more important than things that were considered important like competition. It's been proven that happiness in poorer countries is just about the same as countries that are incredibly materialistic. In Japan they even have a word for death from overwork.
The higher your elo or whatever is nice. But to be happy and a League Player you must find what makes you honestly happy, not what others consider their joy.
