Rito Doesn't Care about your toxicity, heres why......

Pretty simple actually, lets compare other MOBA's and league, and you will find one fundamental flaw that corrupts league and ruins it for players making for an awful atmosphere:

Dota2: during events get a reward for playing a game, win or lose you have a chance of getting something cool

Heroes of the storm: dailies stack for up to 3 days, all but one daily are based on playing games not winning

League: daily wins, events based solely on " win 2 bilgewater matches then win 6 more" so at minimum you have to spend 6 hours at least assuming you win every game........

Daily wins, not daily quests, winning for events, all of this puts pressure on players who like to earn the rewards and feel like they participated to WIN every game..... This pressure to win makes losing frustrating, especially if you are the only one doing well, which leads to the toxicity, and lashing out at teammates....... " But Fish its just our community is bad not the system, they need to make money"....... Absolute utter lies and trash, everyone here has probably at least PLAYED world of warcraft at least once, blizzard has a massive community and a large number of absolutely horrid members of the digital society whose only goal is to bother/annoy/distract/ruin other players experience...... yet Heroes of the Storm has a better community and less toxicity problems than League..... " but if they make dailies more reasonable and event quests reasonable people won't give them the monies", except no, IP cannot buy skins, and people spend handfuls of dollars to buy skins all the time, heroes of the storm does very well even with making dailies easier to obtain and less frustrating

TL:DR Leagues focus on only rewarding wins and not players simply playing and having fun with new game types or events or just dailies in general promotes the toxicity, Rito is making the problem worse not better. If Rito wants to make the community better? Put less pressure on the players to win all the time so they can just enjoy the game and play, without having to worry about being able to get that schweet icon or ward skin or whatever.

DISCLAIMER: THIS DOES NOT MEAN I PROMOTE TAKING AWAY RANKED REWARDS, RANKED mode is serious and should be focused on wins, I completely agree with the higher you get the higher reward you deserve, but for fun game modes like the current event? putting pressure on the players to win discourages the fun not encourages it

IMO it takes longer to unlock champions in HoTs. You are saying that HoTs isn't based on winning, but to get a good amount of gold you have to win.

In Halo reach you would get daily stuff that wasnt always focused on winning, but rewarded you on what you did right.

I am not even really doing the Event and I encounter toxicity all the time.

1.) Chat Abuse, or Verbal abuse is never really needed I don't have much of a problem in this area.

2.) Riot needs to understand Toxicity isn't just chat related but actual in game as well.

. Refusing To Communicate the big Toxicity issue, Auto Locking, I am talking about champion select the moment you already know based off team composition you have lost the game but still play and players Rage, or don't understand why you are losing this is why.

Two examples.

. My first game today that I played First 3 players just lock random stuff without even talking.

. I let them know that not talking in champion select, even letting the team know let alone their choices were not good and we would likely lose the match because of it, no one talks, zero communication I wait until 1 second before just randomly locking my lane and playing it.

. I die like once in Lane Phase, and get fed off the enemy like massively but just because my score is like perfect 4-1 or 5-1 doesn't mean anything because Late game once they let the game advance too far because of that lack of communication their team had all in team composition, our team was really gimped out and (Good Game) they just go all in on us and we lose.

But I try to point this out at the very end of the match about why our team started to lose because no one talked, and asked if they understood why talking in champion select is important, all they do is pretend that communication between your fellow team members is absolutely not important, and at the end game screen (Report X User) for encouraging people to talk especially after I talked in champion select and asked what the comp was.

**My game this morning **

I actually got matched with 3 players who actually talked when I asked what the team comp was, everyone talked, I even left mid open which is one of my main roles for someone else and filled a role I rarely play, funny thing about this is the game starts everyone is doing well, and the person who goes mid the only person who Auto Lock a champion didn't use their brain Feeds like massively, then talks trash because I missed the dragon after smiting two enemy's with red smite for extra damage on them. Funny thing is we won because of mainly 3 other players who actually choose to team play the game, and the only person who did like super bad was our Mid Laner who didn't bother to use his brain, Truth, not like everyone was pro or anything but still making group fights happen with a team that talks has better chances for a better outcome even if the game is lost.

Riot needs to come up with a way to solve the whole champion select toxicity issue, its been going on for years now, and I think Riot Cares, I just don't think they are doing a good job like they could and too many toxic players (perhaps not verbally abusive) are getting off the hook, going into peoples games doing the same stuff all the time and throwing ranked games when players who are actually in X League deserve to be higher but actually get held back because of jerks like this.

No I don't think rewards are the main cause of toxic behavior, I mean it can be depending on the individual, but I think if the summoner code was more enforced besides raging at people in chat being a ban worthy offense people would shape up a bit more.

Not to mention the farm fests created by the CS numbers in aram games. I had three games where neither team tried to attack each other, they just stood there and fought their teammates over farm.

And taking away ranked rewards because of "toxicity". First of all, the automated system is a problem. Bring back the tribunal. SEcond, the only report that does anything is "verbal abuse". And people will either ragereport you or false report you, and the system will think you are toxic. YOu get ranked rewards for SKILL not for being a happy farmer.

The automated system is so bad that 14day bans are being issued randomly, even though they are "manually checked" .If you just spam report people with your premade buddies... Presto!
