Reminder to Riot to Fix Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround
There are countless people that can't fully enjoy their multiple screen setups on League in it's current state. The problems are well documented and the fixes hard and game breaking if done wrong if able to be done at all. As a summary here are the issues with Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround, Wide Resolutions, and multiple monitors in LoL:
Tooltips, Victory/Defeat Splash - These are way too big, can't read mana costs, cooldown times and text gets cut off on skill tool tips etc. At end of game have to Alt+F4 to leave game as half of the splash is hidden below where the mouse can access the continue button. Other games have the problem but give more scaling options (ie Counterstrike) so you can scale down the specific items that are too big without scaling down HUD/Minimap etc. More scaling options would be nice.
HUD Placement - With the default placement of the HUD I have to turn my head to look at my minimap on the far right of the right screen which lowers my reaction time in a competitive game by a substantial amount. If they could lock onto the HUD primary (center) monitor that would be ideal. Maybe we could have the option to center the HUD on the center monitor in multiple monitor setups, or be able to move and lock the elements ourselves, or something like that would be extremely useful to us multi-monitor league payers out there.
Moving Camera with Mouse - This isn't a huge deal for me as I use Logitech G13 key pad with a joystick to control the camera, but it would be useful if you could move the screen with your mouse in wide resolutions like you can in standard. Moving the camera with the mouse up and down is fine, but side to side is a pain. Although the side screens are clickable you can not see the full info and the animations are messed up (see below) and if you want to move the screen fast with the mouse to get that info its a pita.
Fish Eye Effect and Details Loss on Side Monitors - This is one of the worst, the fish eye effect makes the side monitors look all stretched out and skewed. Not only that but the animations of the champions/minions are all but lost as it looks like you see 1/10 frames of the animation. You can't see health bars/names either so there is an overall loss of quality on the side monitors. It's pretty bad looking and takes away what should be awesome about multi-monitor gaming.
In it's current state I have decided that while able to play League on my mult-monitor setup it is far less than ideal until there is a fix for most of these issues. I know few will care about this but those that do know what a disappointment it is playing league on their setup. I know there was a Rioter who eve commented about a potential fix in a thread long ago so I know I'm not the only one.
