Challenges/RP

I think that they should add a feature where you can earn a little RP for completing Challenges, or something along the line. Not many people have a lot of money and I'm not talking about giving out 400 for nothing, just 10 or 20 here and there for certain things. (Penta, Team work, Consecutive days of play, ect.)

Just a thought.

I think this is a fantastic idea. This will result in people trying harder to do these challenges in games. I think they should be in ranked games & normals, but i think RP amount in normals should be drastically smaller.

I think someone should get RP if they honored (and have it you get 0 if you're being honored by a friend/premade buddy/multiple times by same person). And I think assists should give rp too in that case. Poor supports would make jack. Unless they can ride off of the penta-kill assist. But yeah, low values (1 rp for towers, 3 for tripple kills, etc, and for assists, say the adc got a penta and earned 5 rp, the support and whoever helped gets 4 or something, 4 for Baron, blah blah blah) for kills/assists/objectives, and high values (like 10 tops) for honor. It'd take awhile to get 500 rp (50 games assuming you only get honored). And the games need to be at least 30 minutes long, or else no rp.

Sounds nice.

My main concern with this is that, depending on the objective, it could cause people to play or act worse as they're "trying to get their RP." If you encourage any sort of behavior in-game outside of "kill the nexus," then that inherently damages the integrity of the Ranked ladder. I think the best example I know of is in a team-based shooter (Team Fortress 2 comes to mind) where you've got the tryhards wanting to win, the guys who just want the achievements and spend their whole time being counter-productive, and the guy who, for some reason, is going for the high KDA, even if that doesn't matter for the sake of the match. A monetary reward may be slightly different than Steam achievements, but I feel that, especially in Ranked, it could possibly create more issues than it solves.

i think it needs to be based off the reporting system. Maybe on a 30 or 60 day basis, if you go 60 days w/o being reported you get a miniscule amount of reward because its something that you really should be doing anyway, but it does supply an incentive to do it. You'd also have to actually play a minimum of xx days in that period before you would be eligible. It also would have the secondary effect of giving some motivation towards curbing toxic behavior although I think if there were league point rewards in ranked for no reports it would be more incentive. Another idea is if not league points then maybe give ranked players a chance to bypass one loss every so many days for a good behavior record ie.....no reports.
