I think that it would be a great idea to have your ping at the top of your client and while you are in queue, to help players know if they have issues or not before they enter games and play badly due to that. It's a harmless and simple idea that would help a lot of people
download haste its performance checks are free and it helps lower ping a bit
Actually... The client uses different servers from in game. Therefore having a good client connect does not guarentee good ingame ping or vice versa. In addition since you assigned an ingame server while loading in, they cant simply show what your ping would be.
