So here's the story.

I played games and got 3 key fragments. I opened a chest and I got Arcade Riven skin shard.

I didn't have enough orange essence to upgrade the skin to permanent. I started to play games like a mad man so I would get more key frags to get enough orange essence for the upgrade.

Then I finally reached 3 key fragments after playing about 50 Ascension games. I opened the chest and I got Dark Valkyrie Diana skin shard. I disenchanted it, so I'd get orange essence. It wasn't enough, and I only needed 70 orange essence to upgrade Arcade Riven skin into permanent skin.

Then I started to play ranked and ARAM, so I'd maybe get key fragments faster. After playing ARAMs and ranked games, I once again reached 3 key frags.

I opened the chest and I got Malphite champion shard. You can't get orange essence from him, only blue essence.

Now I'm still lacking 70 orange essence and I have no key fragments. And Arcade Riven is still waiting for a upgrade.

Well if u disenchant Arcade Riven u will have enough essence.

farm even more keys or just buy a chest?

Well, I haven't gotten a key fragment in well over a month (at least 40 games). They say it resets 'monthly', but I'm not too sure about that as the first of the month this month didn't reset it. Nor did it reset when the day of month (25th I think) came around again when I originally got my first key. Also, no bans or restrictions ever on my account.
