Parents just lost their house in a fire, please help

Hey guys, my inlaws, who have taken me in as one of their own just lost their house and all of their belongings in a house fire due to the snowstorm in maine. easier said than done, we live very much within our means, it's that we are in a single income household because my wife is a stay at home mom. We have an emergency fund for ourselves, and have no debt now, (which we have just paid off), and are trying to save for our own house. We go paycheck to paycheck because it's a single income. We just can't afford 2 more people in our home right now. Double the size of your household with just your income and tell me how easy that is.
