The key to being an effective Ahri is landing the charms. It is one of the best CC's in the game. Land that, toss out your Q and chunk people down. Once you have death fire Grasp you can start to roam with your ult + DFG + Charm/Q and pick up kills in other lanes to get them ahead. Thanks to the recent small buffs to her Q damage and Mana costs she has a much more comfortable early game. In the end she is a great pick in many team comps and def worth the buy if you are a mid laner.

Anyway hope this helped at all! Ahri is awesome :D

Don't try to do anything too flashy. I personally don't have experience with Ahri, but this applies to every champion. I don't know how many Lee Sins, Zeds, and Blitzcranks try to make big plays just to end up feeding...

You could be naturally gifted with Ahri but until you know for sure and have a fair number of games under your belt take things slow and make safe plays.

Early mana management while faming is a big key lesson to learn with Ahri. Some matchups and player skill comparisons you're going to notice fairly fast if you are going to be capable of harassing with Q or not effectively. Some matchups I've heard it's even a good idea to level W first instead of Q to punish certain champs that like to get in your face. Though i personally don't have experience with that.

A quick tip from a former Ahri main: If you want to engage on your lane opponent post-6 and you can't line up a charm, use your Ultimate to re-position yourself to land charm and follow up with your combos. Get some practice in bots games if you aren't comfortable with doing this.

Heys guys just wanted to ask a question. Is spellvamp a good option with Ahri,or should i just stick to ability power along with mana and health sustain items?

I'll just drop how I like to play her. To me, I like to level either q or charm at level 1. Q if I'm against someone I can harass, charm if I'm worried about early aggression and take the other at level 2. Level three is either fox fire or another point in q if I'm harassing well. Ahri's laning is all about mana management (although her recent buffs make this a lot easier) and managing your passive. A good tip if your passive is up, is to throw your orb of deception (q) into wraith camp for a quick boost of health in an emergency. Pre-six you should play a more harass oriented/ more passive game, and play this way when ever your ult is on cd. As far as when you have your ult, you need to pay a bit of attention to the map. Without her ult Ahri is a sitting duck so you want to make sure that you can still get out if you decide to all in. Her ult is a great tool for re-positioning, don't worry about using it just to re-position yourself and not do damage. Also hitting charm is a must, charm is where all of your damage is tied. Granted this is just how I play Ahri and my personal tastes, it may not work/help you. I hope it does or gives a starting point.
