Stuck in Bronze. How do I improve?

Let's face it, I'm not too good at LoL. I got placed Bronze 3. I play mid lane and in normals I usually win and often carry the team.

However, when I play ranked, even in my main role with my main champ, I seem to either stalemate the lane and neither of us die, and we lose due to a different lane, or lose lane myself.

I went 1/9 in my placements and lost the next ranked game I played too.

My question is, should I keep playing ranked now, (will I improve more?) or should I just play loads of normals and keep winning. I am challenged in ranked, but I hate to know I WILL be in Bronze V if I keep playing this way.

GL. Bronze is just a trial and error basically. To many noobs to try to weave through for gold. Silver is basically like bronze, just a little less feeders.
You will always have your horrible trolls that just like to ruin other players elos for their amusement though.

Play braindead tanks like Sej and Naut and Trundle, can't lose then. Literally impossible when you have 5k hp and can turret dive, miss everything and still win the encounter.

Git gud.

On a serious note, do whichever you prefer. Bronze is technically a place for either totally unexperienced or those simply not playing enough. Once you get around 50% winrate, you should get silver without effort. Plus, practice makes master. I started season 3 in bronze 4, got to high silver... Playing mid pre-rework karma. And i sucked quite a bit back then.

I did a quick look at your OP.GG profile.

  1. You're K/D/A in ranked is 5.4 / 7.3 / 6.9. Impossible to climb with those stats. Need a minimum of 1/1/2 ratio to climb **consistently **in my opinion. So, you should work on dying much less.

  2. Your CS per minute is absolutely horrible. You only have one match above 4 cs per minute, with most of your matches below 3cs/min. There are an average of 10 cs available per minute. You're not even getting half of the free gold given to you.

For example, your last victory as Ahri, you only got 105 CS in a 40 minute game. You should be aiming for 100CS at the 15 minute mark at a minimum.

  1. Vision. You only purchased one ward in your last 11 ranked games combined. Additionally, you've never upgraded your trinket nor do you use your yellow trinket effectively. Your average wards placed per game is only around 9. Considering you may place on average one ward per two minutes, you're using half of your available yellow trinket wards.

Those are the three easiest things for you to work on. Hope that helps!

I recommend you pick Heimedinger for ez lane domination or play talon to abuse the lethality for ez elo. If you plan to improve with ahri, i recommend you roam sometimes to botlane for ez money cuz adc 2k17 he he.

As a fellow Bronzer stuck in the situation, just keep playing ranked and blow off steam in Norms.

Other than "get gud" and other very good advice that this community can give you I think you (and myself too) should try finding players that you play well with and duo que with them or something. When i do play with others it helps to have someone to give you feedback after/during the game and can also rage with you when you were actually playing super good and the rest of your team were whiny egotists.

Try swapping champions.

Something more linear and less mechanically demanding for an inexperienced player like yourself.

Your Ahri doesn't seem to be working well for you, especially against Bronze players it shouldn't be too difficult to play any champion if you were actually worthy of anything higher.

Ahri isn't a good fit for the moment, maybe later on, but right now if you want to climb.. Something more simple, but still able to carry.

If your main concern is climbing, this is what you should steer towards.

If your main concern is improving with a certain champion, then obviously play whomever it is you're trying to learn.
