Patch notes clarity - Add graphs for champions new vs old balance

Hi dear rioters! :)

TL;DR: I was wondering if it has ever crossed your mind to include line graphs in the patch notes to increase clarity? Basically, to have somehting like [see attached file].

Not TL;DR: In the recent seasons, you talked about how you played with the "curve" of characters. Could we have those curves in the patch notes along the numbers (see an example in the attached file)? Take cases where you change the damage for example. Take Kata shunpo change; it would be nice to have a graph with two curves, one presenting the damage before the change and another after. I think it would allow us to see more clearly in which direction the power was shifted (or nerfed/buffed): early game power reduced but late game untouched, proportional nerf/buff,... Indeed, by the unique shape of the curve, we can directly evaluate how it will feel ingame compared to before the patch. Note that this could be applied to any champ patch notes where you write something like "X/Y/Z/T"/M at all levels => "X2/Y2/Z2/T2".

Understand me: this would not replace any information in the existing patch notes design, but rather allow players to quickly grasp where they will feel the change.

What do you think? :) Thanks for reading!

It made sense to do this for Jinx's Minigun attack speed because it wasn't a straight line. Most changes aren't like hers though and are more like your straight line, which is so simple that a visual isn't needed.

TL;DR - complicated changes that vary at different points, yes. Anything that would just make a straight line, no.

if power curves for different champs were placed on the same graph, 1/3 of them would be indistinguishable from the X axis due to how underpowered they were.
