So when is riot going to get serious about people who intentionally ruin games?

It's insane how many people I've gotten in my last 5 games who are just hell bent are ruining games right from the start in the best way they can possible. Currently I am in a match where our jungler picked xin shao and then someone else picked galio jungle. Riot is not doing enough to ban away these people. In my personal opinion if you decide you want to ruin a game and completely destroy your teams chances of winning you should receive a permanent ban right from the start. How can so many players be so toxic and willing to do this to others?

Have to find definitive way to prove that someone intentionally ruined a game, as opposed to having a bad game. A way that does not require someone to have been actively observing the game mind you. It can be really hard to tell from match histories

These types of behaviors are already instantly banned. It's pretty hard to find cases of this in League these days, although there are always a handful when you have 67 million players.

We're also increasing our intentional feeding detection capabilities in an upcoming patch in 2015.

What about the times its not 20 games in a row?

Maybe hes on tilt, or he failed his promos and wants to feed the enemy to hell.

How do we ban those people? Who do it discreetly, they just walk around doing nothing but placing wards in the base and telling the enemy where we are. Or they outright feed.

Jeez Lyte, why you gotta take everything so personally? I was just stating that it's pretty easy to tell someone is intentionally feeding if they are going 0/16. Plus with the map integration of match history, you can more accurately and quickly identify possible feeding behaviors (a clump of deaths at mid turret five minutes into the game is pretty obvious).

I have noticed a significant decline in the number of feeders I've personally encountered over the years (and it was already pretty low to begin with.)

Here's my opinion(Oh yeah I know, but I feel I need to get it out there)

Edit: I wanted to add that as someone who scouts forums nameless and otherwise logged out, this is such a huge problem that I actually decided to log in and voice my opinion.

I've literally never seen any actual toxic players be banned. There are several instances in the past week alone where I've run into and reported just the most toxic and horrible people, and have run into them again. They brag and go about continuously acting the way they do because they have not been punished, and before writing this I just lost a ranked game in my grind to gold solo-queue, because of a feeding Nunu, who called support, brought teleport & smite, followed me around, took every single one of my camps, and gave my buffs over to the enemy top laner.

The systems Riot has in place, I feel are inadequate, because if they actually, and this is my opinion, did the jobs they were supposed to do, which I feel is to prevent and shut down toxic behavior from surfacing in the community, I would not of had to experience that game. I would of literally left that game if I didn't fear getting reported for leaving(I'm unsure why I fear that, seeing so many people recently just straight up abandon games and never come back all because they died once in their lane, get reported, and still log in in a half hour, to do it all over again.)

there's so much toxicity especially in the lower elo's that I feel as though getting out of silver is next to impossible, purely because every time I jump into that make or break game that'll either get me into my series or set the course for my series, there's someone who wants to just fume, curse, and feed, or leave, and cause my team to lose.

I understand there's a possible bias with this, and I'm aware I did not mention the good games I do have, which are few and far between when I am solo queue.

I don't think it's even viable with a duo, to turn a bad game like that around. There are too many cons that still outway pros when you're duo. Maybe a trio, but not with duo. Relying on two people who may not even get the roles they're best at, to carry a game with someone who is toxic or otherwise a bad influence on a possibly winnable game, that would never actually be played out to its true potential because of said people.

I guess a TL;DR would be: the systems in place aren't actually working in the lower elo, and even if you don't solo queue and bring a partner, with the current picking order system, it's flawed against the duo/player that may actually be able to carry and win.

what if they troll in a way that is not as obvious as 0/16 for 20 games? maybe feeding like 1/10 games just because they dont like someones attitude or their name (my duo and i) it was awhile ago but there was a shaco with a match history where he does really well but like every now and then he buys troll items and just completely feeds all lanes on purpose...there is alot of people that troll like that i think thats why op made the post

Do you know if the systems are in place equally across all servers or it's an NA only thing?.

In LAN you rarely if ever see someone punished, the trolls run rampant saying stuff like "I'm not gonna get punished anyways". For instance, an IRL friend of mine, CONSTANTLY ragequits, and I'm saying around the lines of, he goes afk around the 20 min mark on 90% of tha games he's losing, he hasn't been so much as restricted, much less punished, what's going on?.

So when someone goes 1-20-1 in 21 min after announcing that they are going to feed because annie got picked in a one for all game and then DCs, when they went the whole game buying nothing but mobi boots and a trinket, they get banned? Because I have run into people like on a weekly basis and they are still playing. When they say they are intentionally feeding in chat there is no excuses for missing or forgiving that kind of behavior. Your system isn't working like you think it is.

I'm honestly getting sick of the inaction by lyte as well. In the past 6 ranked losses I have had people using scripts, third party software, intentional feeding, and being generally toxic, and yet, riot has done nothing while I do this endless cycle of "Get back to my silver 4 promos, hit feeders, wait 10 minutes, win a game, wait 10 more minutes, hit another feeder, lose 30 points(because That's fucking fair), hit scripters and people who admit to buying an mmr boost" for the past three days now.

I'm honestly about to stop reporting because it's clear as long as these players give riot money, they do nothing, and it's pissing me off.

That's not fair to lyte, his job is not to watch your specific account. There are hundreds of thousands of accounts if not millions on NA alone. They probably are swamped with reports to sort through. Even if they have some kind of filter program.

why the hell would anyone buy an mmr boost to Silver 4? like that is like the most inefficient waste of money I have ever seen. At least get an mmr boost to Gold if you're going to do it, not that I support that way of thinking, I just think it's funny that people blame others for getting and mmr boost when they are only silver, not like silver is that much different from bronze they are just slightly better.

This is why toxicity is running rampant. Most people could care less about toxic chat. Its the bad gameplay that really affects the game. But apparently Riot thinks differently so as long as you ruin the game through gameplay and not by talking reckless you are indeed being a good and non-toxic teammate

Unfortunately, toxicity will always be there, whether or not Riot implements some sort of system. New players will come in, troll and leave, that's the routine for trolls. What's even worse is that the system of reports will only ban or warn someone once they have collected enough reports, meaning that trolls could switch off for one day and not get any reports, then switch on the next day and get quite a few reports. As far as I know, these reports will warn and then ban players if they keep creating a negative experience, but will not keep stacking, they will get erased when the next week comes. I know it is really sad, but it is the truth, toxicity is a part of competitive gaming, and I'm afraid it will never be fully eliminated. All we can do is hope that Riot reduces toxicity with a new system or something.

There are cases where it is understandable to be toxic (although you shouldn't do it.)

There is never, EVER, a valid reason to intentionally ruin a game for your team. If it''s a custom game, or if your'e with four friends, sure, but don't fuck around like that in ranked.

I was just playing OfA and by the 13 minute mark it was a 2v5 because of an intent feeder who got 2 people to rage quit then he quit himself. All because we picked syndra.
